for me Bitcoin allows me to hold some saving out of the banking system and the hands of the government.

For me, Bitcoin is an international not local and that makes buy things easier!

The low cost of pending it but also the hype around it. The price is a very nice aspect and therefore bitcoin is mostly used for speculation.
When it has grown, let's hope we can spend it!

That's a great thing too yes. The fact that you can send money to someone in the US without the normal complicated procedure, limits and worst of all the enormous fees
Banks should be afraid, very afraid indeed.

Yes this is the one. All those annoying fees and regulations regarding international money transfer, bitcoin makes transferring any amount so darn easy. I lvoe it

look around you. there are plenty of online merchants where you can spend your precious bitcoins. and yes, currently bitcoin is mostly used as an investment. that will change once people start to see the real potential of bitcoin. then people will use bitcoin's features in their benefit. the investment part will be nothing more than an extra bonus.

My favorite thing about bitcoin is that it's the only asset that can't be stolen,  frozen, or destroyed by a government, thief,  fraud, or natural disaster. It's like an overseas gold account,  without the custodian, or the gold.  Prefect doomsday material,  unless the price collapses.

I love to trade with a volatile asset, and since bitcoin is p2p, the government can't get their hands on it. That's what I like most.

Since when you can't stole bitcoin? Couple of exchanges in the past got hacked and bitcoin have been stole in a process. Your personal wallet can also be hacked if hacker have access to your machine etc.
Bitcoins can't be 'destroyed' by the government now, but this state of things can change in the future when Government will have to take bitcoin more seriously and therefore regulate it.

I like the irreversible nature of transactions with bitcoin, knowing that once I receive btc in my wallet, there's no one on the other end who can take it back (but of course this can be problematic from the reverse perspective).

And a very close second place goes to the small but growing bitcoin economy here on btctalk and in the real world merchants who accept bitcoin.  It's kind of cool.

It's basically the open source community.
Currently I think only a few people could wrap their head around open source. People are a bit too selfish still(capitalism has ruined us). Only a few developers would make their work open source. However when bitcoin goes fully mainstream, the fundamentals of our money would be open source. A lot of people would be influenced by this beautiful idea of open source.
The community has people from all aspects of life and is more diverse than anything I've seen. This just shows just how much potential bitcoin has to become one of the greatest things ever.

I like best the notion that one day, if we are successful, we will completely eliminate the need for banks and payment processors that charge ridiculous fee's.
Bitcoin as it is now, still shows just a tiny portion of the grand thought.

cheers
