Thought I would check into the possibility of mining this coin when I heard it mentioned on Cryptsy and saw that it has had decent trading volume recently.

It appears there is only one pool with a single worker (~1TH) however the last block found on that pool was discovered 10/09/2015 08:25:19

Thought I would check into the possibility of mining this coin when I heard it mentioned on Cryptsy and saw that it has had decent trading volume recently.

It appears there is only one pool with a single worker (~1TH) however the last block found on that pool was discovered 10/09/2015 08:25:19

This is most likely people solo mining with their combined hashrate or it could be some pretty nifty person mining on their own private pool.

PoS is running the show now but it doesn't hurt to have miners & newcomers to start small.

Yes. You're batches are competing with other people's batches of coins trying to solve the next block to receive the reward for staking that block. Staking it not a hard timeline.

You can do either but you will loose weight/time if you combine now. So you might want to recombine after they stake it might recombine the coins for you like other wallets. They break apart the piles and if they get too small they combine them. You are not loosing anything by waiting
