I am Curious in light of this new information has anyone tried to contact BFL for a refund? if so has there been any road blocks?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I was offered a refund, but sold my ASIC locally and was able to reverse the refund thanks to Inaba.
This was probably out of the norm given the refund, then reversal.

Especially since the CEO was convicted of scamming and fraud. |

i asked for a refund, but they wouldn't give my btc back. when i ordered btc was worth 6$, so I would only get half of my coins back if I got a refund. So i'm just crossing my fingers and hoping they deliver.

They use the USD as a measure, not bitcoins. They recieved USD in their account on the day your ordered, they will give you usd back or btc equivalent, nothing unusual about that. |

You're basically saying if they refunded you twice as much as you paid, you'd take a refund? Who wouldn't? You're basing this off the fact that you 'paid' about 216 BTC, which was worth $1300 at the time, but now you'd want back the same 216 BTC that's now worth about $2700. Good luck with that. |
