Does mining equipment count?  Bought a few used ASCIIs pieces last year and will never ROI at that hash rate...

I am not sure if I am putting this in the right section.

Anyway, what are some of your guys biggest bitcoin losses?  Did many people here loss everything with Mtcox?  For me it is online casinos.  I do have a moderate gambling habit so it was bound to happen.  Cry

I have had a few losses none have been big on their own but when you add them together it does add up to big loss Sad In my gambling day I have lost around 10btc on btc gambling, 5btc not backing my shit up and scammed at least 5btc so all in all not great by any means.

I am still up and in profit over all though just a shame it isn't more because of my stupid mistakes. Yes us degenerates need to cut the gambling out and stop giving the owners all our pocket money Smiley

80+btc on hacks.
250+ elsewhere.

have had gains too though.

you are richman  Shocked
from anywhere you can get bitcoin ?

are you developer of crypocoin?

Not rich. Bought in big with credit card debt in 2013 at $65-150 and doubled it on Asicminer.

Rocky road from there though. BTC is a minefield.
So many bitcoin companies close down due to bankruptcy that the number of people who invested and lost is probably the same as those who gained on it. I'd say that since 2014 your chances of making money with Bitcoin are less than 50%

yeah that cloudmining site did more harm then good, but it should of been a red flag from the start.

most people ignored the pbmining incident and still invested with cloudminr.io.

From experience I do agree you probably had more then the average person here.

not to be a dick or anything, how much do you have left now?

and when you mention elsewhere are you referring to gambling?

lost some btc on gambling... Cool but sometimes i wan

yeah but out of what was used, are positive? most players are in the negative and if you break even then I would call it a day.

If you won, then its by pure luck and wouldnt count the odds to continue playing..

Elsewhere mostly refers to a bad investment I made in a couple "bitcoin businesses" in 2013, when the "securities" scene was hot. The founder of one turned out to be a ex-con scammer, basically. The rest was to BTCQuick, owners Jerrod Bunce and Michael McNierney on Bitfunder (run by scammer Jon Montroll), the scammers still owe investors over $50k and 1,000 BTC. Luckily, I had mostly cashed out by then.

Lesson is: Only invest in LEGITIMATE companies (yes, with lawyers and financial statements), and buy a Trezor.

As for gambling, I have gambled millions$ of turnover on sports but am roughly up 1%+ ROI. I put in real effort though to earn that, would advise most shouldn't gamble.
