Nope - no minimum.  You can buy as many as you'd like on Cryptopia.

Welcome to CAT!

CAT market capitalization has dropped from 27 BTC to 10 BTC in two months, and we need a better direction.

We need to update to get people's attention.

Can the CAT into a masternodes like DASH mining (POW 45% + Masternodes 45% + 10% Dev)?

Many people like this, the price can be up ten times. Wink

As I've told you a number of times already in PMs, masternodes are POS and we're not going POS.  There are plenty of coin projects that con people into funding masternodes with Youtube livestreams with fidgit spinners and HODL chants - and then crash and burn when the whales suck out their manufactured profits.  That's not what CAT's about.

If I can vote, I will choose PoS, definitely. It's better than PoW, in general
Why do you think proof of stake is better?  Better for whom - new folks or whales?  How or why is one better than the other?

PoW - waste of electricity
PoW, if not in Top10 coins, can be easy 51% attacked

PoS - users keep wallet always online
PoS - checkpoint server or master nodes

I assume you think that online wallets and/or centralized servers/nodes are good things - why do you think that?

I agree that POW uses more electricity than other options, and agree that it's a negative for POW.

I don't agree with your Top 10/51% metric, because while smaller coins can be attacked, there's no financial incentive to do so.  Once there's financial incentive, the network's larger and more difficult to 51%.

I like that more users would keep a wallet online in a POS scenario, yet I know from working with one POS project and holding other POS coins (all of which turned into real 'pos' coins  Cheesy ) that while users can keep wallets online, most don't.

Checkpoint servers decentralize the network - that's a non-starter for crypto.
Masternodes are good for pump and dump coins as the rush to stand-up master nodes temporarily pushes coin value up, which triggers a massive profittaking that pushes the value lower than when it starts.  It's a classic biologic overshoot scenario.  It keeps happening (a friend of mine got sucked into one 2 months ago - the rush to stand up nodes played out like a Ponzi scheme - the early whales sold out and everyone else got left with scraps) yet folks chasing the siren's call of quick profits keep falling for it.

If create hi-diff PoS coins like HYP or QBT all users must keep wallet online, and you not need checkpoint server.

And?  Is that good or bad?  Can you name a single POS or POS/POW coin that's been around for 5 years and is growing?

HYP - HiPoS, now growing, more then 100 times in usd value since last December.
QBT - was PoW, I convert it to PoS and it growing last week.
NVC - PoW+PoS - "new Russian bitcoin"

If you believe that checkpoint server is bad, HYP not need it because no one with balance less 25% of all coins can 51% attack.

How many of those are 5 years old?

You still haven't said why you think they're good.  Not a negative (yay - they don't suck  Cheesy) but why they're good.
