Hello everyone,
I am back.

First I would like to apologize for this big problem that happened.
There was a problem with the seed nodes, to the place where we were hosted, and
our provider did not give us the IP we had before back. After which, a new chain
was made while the whole thing was happening and the whole clusterfuck became worse.


We have made a new alternative to the problem.
We have now migrated to NXT Monetary System to use Tavos (Now NXTavos | Ticker: TAVOS)

There is an integrated exchange within NXT to trade Tavos with
Of course, TAVOS is accepted.

We made a 1% pre-mine from the total supply of 10,230,000 TAVOS.
50% of the pre-mine will be distributed to 100 Tavos Supporters.
50% will be held for marketing and support for TAVOS.

Try deleting the Tavos folder at Roaming and reopening tavosd.
If it doesn't work I'll try sorting it out, but so far, no other user has had this problem.

Tavo has the same money supply as BCN. They haven't had much of a problem with that just because they didn't post the actual number. But in the future if it calls for it we may do a supply reduction if the community votes on it. One day.

Restarted, no sign of repeat thus far, will let it run and report any further instances.

Minor UI grumbles, command line editing is sub-par for a money-critical app; the list of transfers has predictably become unwieldy, desperately needs a range limit; showing a datetimestamp for each transfer in the list is probably crucial (okay it is available via reconciling the data with the log file but that's not exactly user-friendly).

OTOH, I'm ignorant of the project objectives, so perhaps user-friendliness isn't a design parameter, if so ignore the above grumbles.

Noted, thanks. The project is flagged as an educational exercise; I predict that one pedagogical outcome will be the rediscovery of the oft-encountered phenomenon that UI cannot successfully be bolted on afterwards.

I meant “incoming transfers”, the “list transfers” is equally unwieldy but does offer a lot more in terms of information, so no, I haven't sent coins.

I got some ''stupid'' questions.
Normally i never ever start with a coin without a normall gui wallet, anyway this coin is the first i tried to make it work, and guess what it work.
I started tavosd.exe and waited till full sync, started simplewallet and created a wallet.


I put in the console the command: start_mining 4 ( because i need 4 thread (8total) for my asic miners ), then in the other console it saying that it start mining. but i dont get any accepted shares? i also only see:

trrrrr rollback, i found a block, seems like it dont show accepted shares but only the blocks u found? Probably because i'm solo mining?

Anyway i will wait for the coins in the wallet, so fas so good.. But it will be still beter to have a gui wallet + standalone miner + pool ( i like pools ) and i know u guys are working on it so bring it on

It's normal since this is CryptoNote algorithm which means CPUs and GPUs all have the same chance of reward (1:1)
But of course your CPU was fast enough to find the block. There are already a few miners, therefore finding coins can already be a challenge

well i'm only mining, i dont transfer coins till i have a gui wallet, i'm to newby on this console wallet system.

Minimum fees is 0.001 XTV, may increase in the future though.

Is there anything new about this coin? Some  new features? Or just a CryptoNote fork? What is a need of this coin? Thank you.

Tavos is as of now is a CryptoNote fork. Sooner or later when my programming knowledge grows I'll be applying it on Tavos. Think of it as a market and a financial/programming learning experience.

I'm still looking around Tavos' code and try to add some features soon.

But yes, again as of now it's just a fork, with a lot of coins, no premine and no IPO. Just a plain old coin for everyone to us and learn from.

I WAS supposed to target this to Filipinos as the very name Tavos came from the word centavos, and the domain Tavos.Co is also for Tavos Ko, or in Filipino is "My Cents".

I'll continue marketing and developing this coin till everything crypto dies out.

Sorry i was afk for a few days, my disk where my miners / wallets are placed was corrupted in 1 time..
From an wd 2tb extern disk (NTFS) it was changed to RAW.. Finally while using ubuntu i could make a back-up what is placed now on a massive SSD where my windows7 os is running on..
Since a few minutes i got my tavos wallet + miner up again.. Now busy and hoping to fix my extern HDD..

I know its 100% offtopic, but if some1 can help me via personal message, i would appriciate and give 1.000.000 tavos coins (only for the golden key what can make my extern harddisk work)
-things i already did:
- try to using system management - disks managements to format the disk ( windows explorer don't see a connected HDD) but is not possible ( the options are grey )
- using CMD - diskpart - disk volume, but it dont show the corrupted extern hdd
- try to format via disks in ubuntu (because in ubuntu he see the extern hdd, even with the right name and sn numbers.. ) but it give a error after 30-45 minutes
- try to use GPARTED inside ubuntu, but that 1 dont see the disk ( edit: i do see the disk now in gparted, however i try to create a new partition label, but when i agree to do that it looks like gparted is hanging / crashing )

So it looks like inside Windows 7 i can do totally nothing, while in ubuntu i do see the extern harddisk. So i think i must go further using ubuntu to get the disk work

Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.3 Beta - POOL don't work with Tavos's address format.
I saw that in other cryptonotes too, like Red Wind, but others work even if they're not in the supported coins.
So, most of all these hashes are from CPU's.

That's a great thing then, as the whole point for Tavos was to create a
cryptocurrency as a currency, not as a commodity. Therefore it's good
news that so far the hashing power is spread out through all users.

 Anush3D is the user on the computer that the Windows binaries were compiled.  I've seen that error in other cryptonote coins.

Had a quick question, the tavos application has been stuck at
[SRV_MAIN]Run net_service loop<10 threads>... for the past 20mins.

Is there an issue, i dont see any Syn with the network command. (havent been able to update my wallet for the past 4 days)

Go to %appdata% > Roaming

Delete Tavos
Save your wallet.bin if ever you stored it there.

Reload the wallet and see if it syncs (Emerges idea), and it worked for me.

Maybe i didnt read it but, when we get a GUI wallet? We / i are still using the deamon wallet but a normall wallet with a gui (user friendly) would be much better.

Many people in the cryptoworld know something about coins, but after they download a deamon wallet they move away because they dont know how it works (its not hard i know, but with a GUI it's more user friendly)

Why?  Because cryptonote coins require a significant amount of additional work to list on an exchange.  That's why only a couple exchanges list cryptonote coins. If cryptopia does list cryptonote coins it's going to take more than just syncing the wallet like most bitcoin clones.  That's why I remain skeptical that they will list cryptonote coins regardless of whether they win the voting or not.  They might be actively working on integrating cryptonote into their trading platform and we'll see them listed when they're done but the skeptic in me says no.  Hopefully I'm wrong because it would benefit cryptonote coins to have a larger list of compatible exchanges.

We've talked to SouthXChange and Pairex (in development) to add Tavos
into their exchanges

Poloniex, Bittrex, and Cryptsy all currently support cryptonote coins on their exchange but are the most difficult to get listed on.  Regardless, those would be your best options for exchanges as it is unlikely that other exchanges are going to go through the trouble of adding cryptonote at this time.  Poloniex has an XMR/Monero exchange where other cryptonote coins like Dashcoin, Infinitecoin, Moneta, and DigitalNote are traded against XMR/Monero instead of bitcoin.  That would be the best place for this coin because of the coin supply.  Unfortunately Poloniex is very difficult to get listed on.   Good luck on getting listed somewhere.

I dont think there is a leak in the wallet, i think u do something wrong or u got a virus on ur computer.
Save all ur wallets on an external disk and clean up ur pc.

I had yesterday or 2 days ago some connection problems, so after that i quit the wallet. I think u tried ur wallet on that time and maybe that was the reason that u didnt saw coins?

The wallet has leaks in it, coins be stolen

I dont think there is a leak in the wallet, i think u do something wrong or u got a virus on ur computer.
Save all ur wallets on an external disk and clean up ur pc.

I had yesterday or 2 days ago some connection problems, so after that i quit the wallet. I think u tried ur wallet on that time and maybe that was the reason that u didnt saw coins?

Well i dont know why ( i guess because the coin did not accepted by exchanges within 2 weeks.... ) but it looks like this coin is death and dev left.
Last message from him he told he was away and will fix the problem at the 5th this month ( 1 week ago ). But 0 messages from him anymore, sad, because i rly tought this would have a beter future then this.
