Anyone thinkin' about buying a stick, either from me or one of the resellers, should do so within the next two days.
That's not about the Europe ones I guess? MacEntyre doesn't take orders yet until the 25th.

Anyone thinkin' about buying a stick, either from me or one of the resellers, should do so within the next two days. I'll be tallying up available dollars on Monday and buying parts for the first batch. Right now I have about 260 sticks paid for, which covers all the PCBs, heatsinks, and ASICs for the whole 1000 run (which PCBs and heatsinks will be in hand in the next few days), and components for at least that 260 sticks. I can't afford the remaining parts for all 1000, and I can't guarantee I'll have very many in-stock units to sell out of this first batch, but the more that are sold now will help buy parts for the next batch that much quicker. So if you want one but you're waiting until I have some in stock, you might end up waiting a fair bit longer than if you toss in now. All funds that come in by Monday will go to buying components to stretch this batch as far as I can.
How much are you looking to charge for say, 20-50 of these units? I don't think he is offering any more then 10 per user

I don't think he is offering any more then 10 per user Because it's looking like nobody's gonna swoop in and buy everything ever, but I've had a few people asking about picking up more than ten, I'm relaxing the hard limit of ten per customer.

Yep, no bulk discounts. The price is already about as good as I can make it, and I don't really like the idea of giving people with enough money to buy many of them good deals and offsetting it by charging more to people without lots of money. Doesn't really make sense.
Right now, if someone wanted 20-50 said someone could purchase 20-50 but they'd still be $25 apiece.
Flep: Yeah, MacEntyre runs his own sales because he has his own stock. If you wanted to buy from my stock, either through me, Valkir (Canada), AJRGale (Australia) or chigiuerator (however the heck that's spelled, in Venezuela) I'd appreciate doing so in the next 24 hours. But if you wanted to buy from MacEntyre, that's completely separate.

I'll just buy local then. Want one or two to play with

Technically, "deadline" is whenever they're all gone. Paying into this batch, however, ends in about five hours. Any sticks bought now, the entire price will go toward a components purchase for building all the sticks sold to date and as many as I can get into standing stock for sale once pending orders are met. The more paid down now, the more I'll have for stock and the easier it'll be to allocate funds to finish out the run.
The pick-and-place is still not shipped, which sucks. I expect to have PCBs and heatsinks all in hand in the next few days and all components by week's end. I'll start assembling fast as I can. We're slated to start shipping orders on the 25th, but until the robot's here and going they won't be coming off the line too fast.

I'm tempted to pick up a few of these sticks and run with via a R-pi attached to a spare solar panel with a deep cycle battery. I would run on the CK Solo 'pool' and try some luck.

If you're of a mind to, I would surely appreciate the sale. According to TheRealSteve's playing around, if you got enough current and cooling they'll do 20GH each.

According to TheRealSteve's playing around, if you got enough current and cooling they'll do 20GH each. Yep, though at that point efficiency is pretty low My earlier test did eventually shut down (some libusb error) and had to power cycle the Compac, but it's been running okay again at 23.34Gh/s; cgminer version 4.9.2-compac - Started: [2015-08-17 17:57:31] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (5s):21.72G (1m):23.32G (5m):23.31G (15m):23.19G (avg):23.33Gh/s A:23316 R:18 HW:4 X:14 T:14 GN:22996 WU:325.83/m WE:100.00% HE:99.78% cf:425.00 ch:23375.00 t:4235 Connected to pool0.btcdig.com diff 18 with stratum as user BEUSB@gscompac Block: 76d9c6fd... I wouldn't run that without active cooling, but lower hash rates are probably okay.

Parts are ordered for sticks. We should see them end of this week, about the same time stencils show up. Hopefully I'll be assembling by Friday. Also hopefully we have word by Friday of the friggin' pick-and-place shipping and hopefully it actually gets delivered this time.

Oh wow, now things are going to get super exciting. I mean, watching the stick develop was really cool, but I cannot wait to see what these boards are going to be capable of.

Did I miss something somewhere: can we use $USD?
For those that would hesitate to buy from SideHack, the Curmudgeonly Hardware Guy, because you don't know him personally: just do it. You have zero reason to fear for your hard-earned (mined?) dollars (BTC?).
