I am not against faucet and believe them to be a good source of some fractions of bitcoin for newbies to play around but the truth is that you cant make a whole bitcoin solely doing faucet

My first bitcoins came from Primedice signature campaign way back September 2014. From then on, I started to buy a little amount of btc every month and I have never failed to do so for the past 10 months.

How'd you get your first bitcoins (faucets aside) and what did you do to them?

mine came from a faucet game i was doing it at least 3-4 hours a day just to get several mbtc it was tedious but it was the start of me learning more about bitcoin.

Did you even read the title? It asks you about your first bitcoin aside from faucet.
But if it is true that you could earn several mbtc for 3-4hours playing faucet, it was a big amount.

Yes at starting we feel we are earning too much from faucets, but gradually when we become experienced, we come to know that faucet earning is like no earning. Its  too less and very little

I can't remember exactly where my first bitcoin came from as i tried to do many things but probably i think it was when i lent my premium account in a hosting website for a dollar or less and received the payment on bitcoin.

Well it was from faucets, but my first real bitcoin came from Coinbase.  I'll never forget, I had to wait like 6 days to actually get the coin.  Now I use Circle and it's instant and cheaper.

Yeah we can never forget the amount that we earned for the first time, even if it was smaller it was important and very valuable.

First bitcoins came from a atm and I paid through the nose when it was going up and was about $700 a bitcoin.
I proceeded to lose that bitcoin but bitcoin also dropped not long after,so it was a double edged sword.

I've ever gotten bitcoins from faucets, it was the first time if I'm not mistaken. I didn't hold it, I just kept it on wallet. Then I made new wallet  Grin

after that I never earned butcoins from faucets. I just earn from signature campaign now.

I received a nice tip of a whole Bitcoin, back when the price was close to $4/btc for the first time.
Trading BTC/USD was very exciting back then, and I made more than 5x profit over the next several months. Later, I spent them not expecting the eventual huge rallies above $32.

My first bitcoin was when I starting playing minecraft back in 2012; there was a server issuing out $10 in bitcoins to every player who reached the block placing/mining limit. The server is still up and running till today but the bitcoin funds are about to run out soon.

If not faucet, then my first bitcoin came from a signature campaign. the current campaign is the first campaign I have joined in and continuing till date.

Also I have invested few dollars in p2p loans though btcjam and getting regular returns.

The first fractions of BTC I had was acquired from buying. That was before I even found out about earning opportunities from faucets and signature campaigns. Now, I'm doing both signature campaign and buying on dips, and I recently traded altcoins then sold at a profit to buy more BTC.

Since answering "faucets" is not valid here. I will jump to the time where I stopped doing faucets. I personally did Shared2Earn. It's a paid-to-click website and you earn $0.06 per click. I know it's a little big offer for a PTC but they really do pay. I earned 52$ from that PTC website. I was paid in Paypal not Bitcoins. And then I joined MyPayingAds investment site and I got scammed (of course). \

Then a friend of mine introduced me to Bustabit.com. I just did a global chat saying "How do you play this?" because I really don't get it. You might want to take a look at its gameplay and at first you'll really not get it. Then someone told me, its the user named on247 (not exactly sure though), "Here's 1000 bits, come try and play." Then that's when I got my first bitcoin. Roll Eyes

To make it short and clear, I got my first 1000 bits from someone who tipped me on BustaBit.
