How did you first hear about bitcoin?

In 2014 my friend told me about the new currency, not like dollar or euro or something like that. About decentrilized and totally free currency. Next day I registered on this forum

Somewhere I heard about bitcoin and decided to see that it was quite interesting to try it in it like this and started walking along this road

I remember 3 or 4 years ago, my friends from office were talking about it very passionately. I have listened to them some time and then I got bored and stopped listening. I wish I had started at that time, not recently.

I heard a little about my friend, he really explained me well how bitcoin works and how to use it and the process. I heard bitcoin since 2017, my friend enjoyed bitcoin back then and he already got that interested me to join. And I have research on bitcoin, but frankly I do not know how to use Bitcoin, which I get until I study and enjoy it too.

I heard about bitcoin in Facebook and view some videos in YouTube. Also some news paper write about bitcoin. But maximum news paper told negative about bitcoin and maximum blogger says about positive about bitcoin.

In Late 2010/early 2011, a friend of mine mentioned it to me as I had finally understood why our current financial system was unsustainable. A few years prior the Zeitgeist documentaries had really spurred my curiosity on the issues with what money is and how it's created.
While discussing the idea of localized currencies with a friend, Bitcoin came up in the discussion. We talked about the issues of having to run a miner in order to work on the network and shortly dismissed it. I later attempted to research more about Bitcoin but failed miserably and quickly dismissed it. After about six months it all finally started to click and I haven't really looked back since!

Honestly I am not sure, but if I check my mail history it could be entirely due to Mises Institute - they picked up on Bitcoin pretty quickly as the intentions behind the currency fit their econo-political perspectives. Either 2012 or earlier.

i heard it through Facebook i was scrolling down my news feed and there was a link their clicked on it and became interested then started to learn about bitcoin and i am still learning

Bitcoin is spreading day by day a lot by news, and other online platform I have seen some post in social media then my interest arise then I talk to my friend about it and now I am really interested in it and learning more and more from article and forum.
