My second withdrawal put on review to check transaction details and don't understand what kind of system they develop.

Of course why not. Sometimes in order to withdraw, you need to call them and ask them to initiate it manually.

Someone said a month ago that they work from a garage,it was not believable but it is now.

I called them so for three times but always says under review of your transactions but when I ask what is the issue just say under review so don't know when it will go through.

Hello all!

Melanie from BitGold here, VP of Customer Success. Whenever you see someone posting online that they are an employee of BitGold, take a look at our About page (https://www.bitgold.com/about) to see if they actually work for the company. We don’t have a Derrick at the company (one of you referred to his bizarre posts as BitGold_Derrick), so please disregard any messages from that user. Mind you, I have discovered that another person on this site has already impersonated me to say some rather lewd things, so if you are ever in doubt of who is running an account, you can email us at support@bitgold.com to confirm or call us at 1 800 854 7418. We want to make sure you get the right information!

Lots of things discussed here, and if anyone would like questions answered I would be more than happy to respond at the aforementioned support email. For those who mentioned they were interested in auditing information, you can find our public regulatory filings here:

http://www.sedar.com/DisplayProfile.do?lang=EN&issuerType=03&issuerNo=00037170

I cannot speak to each of your experiences as 1) there are quite a lot of you and 2) I would need to be able to look up your account to see what issue occurred, if any. In short, I can absolutely say that BitGold is not a scam, but I can understand how me saying that could be disregarded as a biased opinion. We are a publicly traded company on the TSX that is truly passionate about bringing stable gold savings to users around the world to preserve their hard earned wealth and facilitating easy and affordable international payments.

Our referral program is not the principle function of the platform, but we are very happy to be able to offer a bonus to those who take the time to tell their friends about BitGold. There are obviously rules surrounding this promotion to prevent abuse, but the majority of users receive their funds without issue. Again, I understand that me saying that as an employee might not hold a lot of value to some, so I would suggest further research to see what other users are saying on social media or other websites. Whenever there is criticism due we certainly want to be made aware of any issues to rectify them, but blanket statements suggesting the company is illegitimate or a scam are simply unfounded.

I do invite any of you to chat further if you have questions.

TL;DR Hello, I work for BitGold, would be happy to answer any questions you might have at support@bitgold.com.

I'll be the first to admit that that's a well written professional response, one way overdue taking everything into consideration. Here's to hoping all bodes well from here forward.

Just so everybody knows, you and Michael have links to Bitcoin way prior to the current iteration of BitGold: https://twitter.com/mikebroley/status/394921751391797248

Yes it is scam because they give sign up bonus and gave a option to sell that gold to any one but when you try to withdraw then they will limit you saying all those gold from signup bonus and it is not allowed. What a scam right?

I'm starting to think BitGold is much more honest than many perceive them to be.

I received my gold cube just fine!
How did you order it? Creditcard (=refund if they scam you), bitcoin (=no refund), referals (=nothing at all)? I can imagine this makes a difference IF they are not honest. I read of lot of claims about them with very little evidence...

Don't get me wrong: I'd love to have a gold-standard I can easily use and completely trust! The way money was created based on its gold value was way better than the fiat-money we have now.
I'd also love to order a gold cube using bitcoin, but things like "bitcoin withdraw coming soon" being the same "soon" for months don't inspire confidence.

Actually a combination of all 3! They do have a few things to improve, especially in the public relations department.

Difficult to know the specific issue without being about to check the user's profile, but sounds like they were trying to redeem bonus gold before the 60 day holding period had ended. Once the 60 day period ends, they can do as they wish with their bonus gold!

Why is it that a person who earned bonus gold for their actions that BitGold virtually immediately profited from has to wait 60 days for their reward? Shouldn't BitGold be treating their most beloved clients in kind oppose to having them jump through hoops for what has already been deemed rightfully theirs? If I were BitGold, I couldn't pay out bonuses quick enough, thus garnering others in the wings ready to jump in to see how they, too, could earn some gold while espousing BitGold.

BitGold seems to have no problem paying Google upfront for advertising that, BTW, probably doesn't have the same results as those commissioned to put referral programs in place, yet the folks doing the most profitable work are treated less favorably than paid-for ad campaigns.

Melanie in 3... 4... 5... days to address some mundane post.

I'd like to say since I was in here talking crap I wanted to come back and say I have no issues what so ever. Once we figured out my issue with the debit card all is good. (Wasn't an issue with the card, just getting the card). I have done multiple deposits and withdrawals no problem. Just wanted to come back and clear things up since I was in here earlier in the thread.

Hi Melanie,

Since you came forward and now that we have a chance to clarify if what people claims are true, i would like to email you directly regarding some issues i am having since july with affiliate payment. I don't want to email at support@bitgold.com since this email seem to redirect to the Mac guy who seem to not able to handle someone properly.

Looking forward to hear from you.

I got an email saying this:
Quote
Once a plan has been set, any gold payments you receive will be automatically redeemed to your selected Bank Account or Prepaid Card.*
Problem is... "We are very proud to announce that our Prepaid MasterCard program will officially launch in full within a couple of weeks. "
So there is no prepaid card available, making this whole email a bit useless...

I really dislike Bitgold, they denied me twice the prepaid debit card when I applied for it, they still do not allow USA members to send or receive gold payments (WTF is the point of using them if I can't use basic functions) , now they FINALLY accept a bank account I added, so I go to redeem $31 and what do you know, they only allow minimum of 1 gram of gold to be redeemed (which is $36) lol so I had to put $6 from my debit card to make it $37 and now it says it is in process, I bet I will have problems with this bullshit company, but I will keep you guys updated if they really send me the money.

You should explain what that picture means?

In my case, when I meet bitgold, I was very fascinated. So I start it promote with mind that Im gonna will use it in the future as gold buyer/service user.

After some time with no login to my account I get this :

http://postimg.org/image/h8b0qfyq9/

And made a post :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1133534.msg12733204#msg12733204

So how I can think positive about this service?

If bitgold stuff wanna fix this problem PM, its can be too good service to be like are now.
