Even though India lost in this 5th test match, at least they showed some fight on the last day. Overall they don't really take much out of the series as it was a disappointing once again for them when they travel and to be honest its not looking good for when they tour Australia later this year. Farewell Alastair Cook on a magnificent career, he is truly one of the best batsman England has ever seen.

I knew team India would not win the series or the match, my favourite was always team England given team Indias history against England. It's no obvious secret but team India likes to win more in Indian pitches back home, and you'll would have seen why their lead spinner failed miserably as these are not Indian pitches, their top order was disastrous and they clearly lacked a third seamer, and I hope before Australia tour they have found thier all rounder and new openers.

I can't believe how time has flown saw Cooks debut and saw him making his final exit from the game, a true gentleman, elegant batsman he'll truly be missed.

Man... Alastair Cook really is leaving the international cricket for good, at the age of only 33.

He may be only 33. But he has already played a total of 161 tests during his 12 year career. That is a quite heavy workload, if you compare with the other players. For example, Sourav Gangly played a total of 113 tests, during his 12-year career.

England and Australian players will play more test series than other countries because they have ashes series so it is not wonders that if we compare the other England players as well but I feel age 33 is too ealry to retire from the cricket since there were lot of veterans were playing at age of 38 in other countries.

Asia cup will begin in 2 days, the first match will be played between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka on 15th of September at Dubai. IMO, Sri Lanka will win this one.

This is going to be very tough match for Sri Lanka because Bangladesh recent form is very good specially in ODI's they perform excellent this match can go either way as Sri Lanka facing some internal problems as well and Bangladesh recently beat West Indies in away series we can say this is group of death as Afghanistan is also in good shape will try to qualify for Semi Final as they have ability to beat any team in recent times. I am going for Bangladesh in this match.

I agree that it is too early to retire however we are starting to see players from England and Australia retire earlier now then they would have before, like 10 years ago where the average age for retirement for players from these two countries were around 35-38 but now players are retiring early. Michael Clarke also retired early and could of went on for a few more years. As like someone mentioned players from these countries do play a lot of test match cricket.

Here you should not compare about the age factor but it should be seen that how much cricket they are playing. Their are players who are in the age of 38+ but they have not played that much cricket as in their country cricket matches are not that much. Some of the batsmen carry on until they are in their mid 40s. Mark Ramprakash, who happens to be one of the best English first-class batsmen (but an abject failure in the international scene) retired when he was 42. Paul Collingwood retired a few days back, also at the age of 42.

Here you should not compare about the age factor but it should be seen that how much cricket they are playing. Their are players who are in the age of 38+ but they have not played that much cricket as in their country cricket matches are not that much. All the players need to play more games to be fit so playing more games is not the cause I think this maybe happened because of lot of young players available with better ability so he maybe forced to quit from game by the superior positions the poilitics are everywere.

You are talking about No.1 team even they wont be able to compete with Afghanistan also i think, in this Asia cup match we will know that whether they are able to compete with Afghanistan and more other lower teams. As this teams are having very good bowlers who are competing with international big team.

The thing is that they were beaten badly and their confidence will be down heading into their next match against Afghanistan which are no push overs as they have improved a lot over the past year so I wouldn't be surprised to see Afghanistan win this match coming up.

Hong Kong could only manage to score 116. They could only last for 37 out of their allocated 50 overs. All the Pakistani bowlers shared wickets, with Usman Khan picking up 3 wickets. Pakistan took only 23 overs to achieve their target.

It is sad to see Hong Kong cricket team because Hong Kong did very well in first few overs after that the wickets falling one by one at end the Hong Kong team scored only 116 better luck next game and Pakistan played really well with bowling and batting and tomorrow is other interesting game between Sri lank VS Afghanistan let's one more what will going to happen.
