I think the ban on Smith and Warner needs to stand because if they back flip on their decision now it won't look good on Cricket Australia so it needs to stay in place no matter how the team is performing without them. I just think the ones that want it lifted are worried about crowd numbers as like I said with the current form the Australian team is in, no one would want to pay money to watch them even though they are playing a top team in India. I'll be interested to see the crowd numbers this summer compared to previous Australian summers when India have toured Australia. I will also say this and that is this is India's big chance to win their first test match series in Australia as they have never won a series in Australia.

Yeah, it shouldn't. CA already took the high ground in this matter so no question of backing down now. Atm, we can only wait, let's see what will happen in Adelaide Oval.hoping on an excellent opening test match. India will go as a Favorite but cricket is a funny game. Hope India will not repeat the same mistake as they did in England. I am excited to see Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant.

While I agree with your perspective let's not forget Cricket is like any other sports it's for commercials, and team India's board is the richest,and they'll exert pressure on CA, in addition to their sponsors they'll want Warner and Smith to come out of exile. Though it's to early to confirm if they'll be allowed to make a comeback so soon, but I feel they should other wise this series shall be a dull one. However if they're not included then my money is on team India to win it comfortably and easily.

Yes the last match of the series between India vs West Indies i think that before match the west Indies will give a target of more than 300 mark but it is did not happened because of India Bowles did great there the west Indies give only target of 104 only at end India team won the series.

I doubt they will make a comeback straight away even if the board lifts their ban. They will be out of touch and I doubt the Austrailian Selectors will take a risk of playing players who haven't touched the bat for a good six months. IMO Austrailia still has the batting line up to compete with India in their backyard. Plus I don't get it how are you guys justifying that crowds will come to watch the match just because of Smith and Warner? I get it they may have a fan base in India as they both have captained IPL teams but that doesn't mean the crowds won't come in to back their team in their backyard... It doesn't make any sense.

The saga continues with Cricket Australia as the chairman of Cricket Australia has now resigned following a review sparked by the ball tampering saga. Mark Taylor is now in line to become the new chairman and I just wonder if he does become chairman if he lifts the ban and the three Australian players. Warner and Smith have been playing grade cricket so they are not out of touch and are fit but grade cricket is a lot different then state cricket and international cricket so it would be interesting to see how they would go if the bans are lifted. Also if they are it would have a mental effect I think on the players which could see them under even more pressure so I'm not sure if them coming back is the right thing and that the bans should remain in place.

Ranji Trophy, probably the largest first class competition in the world (with 37 teams!!!!) started yesterday with 9 new teams (the six northeastern states plus Bihar, Puducherry and Uttarakhand). The new teams arre performing poorly, with the outstation players taking most wickets and scoring most of the runs.

Sikkim: 299/9 (Two outstation players Milind and BB Sharma made 202 and 45 respectively) vs Manipur (outstation player S Shaurya took 4 wickets, native player Rex Singh took 3 wkts)

Mizoram: 106 (Outstation players Taruwar Kohli, Akhil Rajput, and Sinan Khader made 49, 28 and 14 respectively, for Nagaland  outstation players Abrar Kazi, Pawan Suyal and Tahmeed Rahman took 4,2 and 1 wickets respectively). vs Nagaland 199/5 (Rongsen Jonathan 72, Sedezhalie 24, Moia 2 wkts)

Arunachal 166 vs Meghalaya 117/7

NZ made 153 runs with loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Will this score be enough to curtail Pakistan seems to be difficult. Only hope for NZ is that they need to pick quick wickets else this game would not last longer if Pakistan do not lose wickets.

Pakistan won the match by 6 wickets and with 2 balls to spare which also means they won yet another T20 series which I believe makes it 11 T20 series wins in a row which is amazing. I just wonder how many more series they can win before a team beats them?

Well, Pakistan vs. South Africa T20 series will begin in February, and it'll probably be another easy series win for Pakistanis. I'm expecting this series winning streak to go on for another year.

Zim tour of Bangla have started and Zimbabwe won the toss and batting first in 1st test. Zim are now 85/2 in 31 overs of the match. Captain Masakadza is leading from the front with 52 not out and given a good start the team. Zim will need at least 350 runs in first innings to stay in the match.

Getting Cocky Eh?? I mean SA has got a good t20 squad. Beating them in their backyard will be a challenge tho. If they come on top against SA, ICC should make Pakistan Play against India. I believe only Team India Can stop their streak. They have this habit of losing against them. I mean the last time Pakistan played a series against India it was way back in 2012. It's been 6 years they have faced each other in a series. It's time Cricket fans got one again.

Yeah I'm not sure that Pakistan can beat SA at home even with the form they have been playing in. Yes they have also played some good teams in T20 but most have been the lower ranked teams and have been played in the UAE so it will be interesting to see how they perform away from the UAE next year. I also agree that there should be more series played between India and Pakistan but because there is always tension between the two countries this is why we don't see it happen all that often. We only see them play a match every now and then when they meet in tournaments so I would also like to see them play more series in the future.
