While the focus has been on Australia vs South Africa (and to a lesser extent on West indies a Pakistan), New Zealand have been able to salvage a draw against England. England must be disappointed, not being able to get the tail out. They were 2 wickets away from victory. With this draw, they have extended their streak of winless test matches abroad.
New Zealand tail-end batsmen can be very tough to get out, especially in home conditions. And this time it was the turn of Ish Sodhi to battle it out at Christchurch. It also exposes how toothless the English bowling attack is. 1st we have to appreciate Neil Wagner god he faced 103 balls and scored only 7 runs (1 four included) can't imagine how he batted. this will tell how poorly England bowlers bowled and Ish Sodhi also played great innings. with this draw, New Zealand won this test series by 1-0. At least they're putting up a bit of competition and spirit in this game. Last two games played by Windies were pathetic, I'm hoping at least a bit of comeback from them in this one.
The attitude of the West Indies players is the reason why they are performing so poorly. None of these guys want to play for the national team. All they want is money and fame from the T20 leagues such as the IPL and BBL. The actual problem is West Indies cricket board, They are not giving good support to the players that's why the players choosing IPL and BBL to make some money. West Indies Cricket Board is doing very poor job for this team they need to bring them on table then talk to them about these issues otherwise its going to be more worst for them as they already in lowest level and these poor decisions can bring them more down because good players not want to play for team and Jr players have no class to replace them

The main issue is money and internal politics. WI board do not have much money to offer these players so all good players are busy in playing club matches than playing for the country. WI first shouldn't allow players to play for any club unless they get a permission from the board then these players follow board instructions if not, players always look for more money to earn then home team miss all good players. Long it was very difficult to beat WI team because they had best bowlers and batsman but now anyone can beat them easily.

I agree. The WICB doesn't have any professionalism and some of the officials are very racist and xenophobic. Look at the treatment they gave to Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who is one of the greatest players West Indies have ever produced.

Chanderpaul was born and brought up in Guyana, although his forefathers immigrated from Bihar (India) in 1873. It is no secret that Indian origin cricketers have always faced a rough deal from the WICB. To worsen things further, Chanderpaul is very vocal about his religion (Hinduism), which evoked a negative response from the Christian dominated WICB.

I did not know that to be a sports person you have to be from a religion that the majority of that country follows, are we talking about religion in this day and age, if Chanderpaul is born in Guyana he is a West Indies player and no wonder they are in trouble to find talented players like they had in the past, looks like they are no international matches this month, is IPL that big now.

The selection should be strictly based on performance and not that stupid stuff like belonging or something similar. This problem, even after all these years, remains just like it did before in teams of West Indies, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc. This politics is the reason why these teams have never been consistent like England, Australia, New Zealand, etc. IPL is definitely over-rated. It's really a shame that we've no international matches due to IPL this month. The whole world will now be staring at IPL the whole month while, the cricket that used to be great, ODI's and Tests, are no-where to be found.

Also tomorrow should be a tough match between MI and CSK.

IPL is great tournament for all advertisers, publishers and every one involved so can't understand such a negative reaction.
Shahid Afridi statement in the midst of IPL is really strange he's claiming Pakistan league will be bigger than IPL and he doesn't want to be a part of it. At 38 no team will buy him and I think he's lost it.
This is the season to make some serious money and tomorrow first match I think MI will win, home advantage will win.

Today i came across one message that states that PSL whole prize money was 6.5 Cr in Pakistan currency and for IPL opening Ceremony , Hrithik Roshan got paid 7.5 Cr to performance on the opening ceremony. Just see this and think that how much difference is their between IPL and other tournaments value. It is IPL that gave whole world a new game T20 and how to earn money through this tournament. First match MI vs CSK, MI got benefit of playing in Home Ground but the home ground record of MI is very bad as they have lost most of their home ground matches.

I'm not saying that IPL is not a big league or PSL is better than it or anything like that. All that I want to say is, IPL should NOT become a border for ICC in setting up the schedule of international cricket matches. They should totally ignore IPL or any other league while making it, else ICC wouldn't remain "International" and would be called as "Indian".

ICC is already Indian Cricket Council because they have more then 70% revenue from them and they are favoring them in every instance just because of this they are not legit like many other councils of world sports mostly Indians blackmail them for their own interest but few months back they have problems as Australia and England not go with them for break of big 3 which was big setback for them

Shashank Manohar did a lot to balance the power within the ICC and now the things are more or less settled. And the fact that ICC gets a major part of its revenue from India doesn't matter, as the Indians won't be watching the TV if there is no quality opposition.

The focus might have already shifted to the IPL, but the first ODI match between England and India (women) was an absolute thriller. England set India a modest target of 208. India were reduced to 190/9 and many would have predicted that England would win. But a last wicket unbeaten partnership of 19 runs took India home.

This is really nice to hear that even in the women we are having this nail biting finish and yes this matches needs to be promoted more than anything else now. IPL will come and its a entertainment but for the International matches happening needs to be even more focused too.

In which channel does they telecast these matches, they have to either telecast it free with youtube, i tried to watch the IPL thinking that i could make some bets but i could not find any streaming sites that we could watch the match live, if anyone knows about any streaming site, do inform me, if it is free streaming that would be great.

Is it possible to view the match for free, earlier hotstar used to provide with the live events with a ten minute delay for free, but now it looks like we have to pay a yearly subscription to watch the matches which is really unfortunate, if there is another option to see the matches live, i would like to know as i cannot find any live streaming sites with free contents.

Sensational match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians had a slow start, recovered well and seem to have the match in the bag. With just 1 wicket to get and the required run rate creeping near 14, almost 50 runs to get, Mumbai Indians could be forgiven for thinking the match was truly in the bag. they didn't account for Bravo who creamed 7 sixers and got CSK home.

We had a blazing start to IPL this year and it was like a final match which was played yesterday. If first match could be such a last over finish we can expect many last ball finish to happen this year and it means that fans will enjoy the bets of the cricket from each team.
