Yes punjab lose 4 matches back to back i think and that pushed them back...if the first half of the tournament they were doing very well and looked that they could easily reached playoffs...but no one performed in their team leaving rahul..

Apart from Rahul, none of their batsmen showed any sort of consistency. I was really disappointed with Karun Nair. He got a few good starts and made 30s and 40s. But he failed to convert these scores to a half-century. Another disappointment came in the form of Chris Gayle. He looked good in the first few matches, but then his form faded away.

Really very important day in the IPL today...today the fate of 3 teams will be decided..rajasthan,RCB and the KKR...I think if RCB win their game against RR then they have a great chance to qualify for the playoffs...and similar with KKR as well..its going to be most important day of the IPL till now

Punjab had a very good chance to progress in to the play-offs, but they wasted the opportunity. For the past 3-4 matches, their form has been horrible. At this point, I was 90% sure that KXIP was going to win. Yet, they lost the match as a result of reckless shot selection.

The chase was not easy, but Kolkatta Knight Riders managed to keep wickets in hand. I would have expected Sunrisers Hyderabad to win this match, considering that they posted a moderate total and have a strong bowling line up. Lynn and Uthappa made sure that they have wickets in hand for the final assault.

Narine is the real start of Kolkata knight riders as he bowled really well and gave a brilliant start but they lost wickets in between and as long as Dinesh Karthik was in the crease i knew it was an easy victory. Playoffs looks interesting as every team is perform well on their day and its really difficult to predict the winner.

Yes, today is the do or die match for the Mumbai Indians against the Delhi. Rajastan Royals and Punjab will have an eye on the result of this encounter as their fate to the playoffs is also depend on it. Mumbai has healty run rate, they just have to win this game to qulify for playoff. It seems quite dificult for punjab to beat the chennai with huge margin in order to boost their net run rate.

Punjab was excellent in the first half of the tournament but in the second half they lost their momentum. Apart from KL Rahul, no one step forward and took the responsibility to finish the game. Gayle was superb in the first half but he failed later on. There is also little scope for improvements in the Ashwin's captaincy, which is not upto the mark in the last few games.

Narine that's it he's the best batsman kkr ever has , he is the best spinner in ipl and going as a opener in all matches and making a average of 30 run each match and that is a lot nowadays teams make 88 , i just hope he has the same performance against rr because if he does i have a feeling kkr is going to take anothrr trophy

Pakistan have drawn in their final lead up game which was the most likely result as it was just a 2 day game. Azhar made 73 and Zaman batted well for his 71 runs however this was against Leicestershire. Pakistan will need to perform a lot better then they did against Ireland when they face England or else we could see a clean sweep of the series for England. I just hope Pakistan can make the series interesting with some good performances.

I have doubt that Pakistan will perform well in England against England because currently they are not good enough to face team like this very low in confidence and Captain is also not good as he is doing too many mistakes which can give them some serious trouble against good team

Ya but even if they have won the match they could still not able to qualify as they should have won the match with atleast 50 runs and i think that made their moral down..hence they had not tried 100% with their performance and ended up loosing the match.
