Pakistan have comprehensively won their match against England by 9 wickets. This is even more surprising considering that Pakistan were in trouble even in the match against Ireland. Pakistan essentially won the match in the first 2 sessions when they demolished England's batting line up. They just pressed home the advantage in subsequent sessions.

This was a great win for Pakistan as no one expected them to perform like they have in this test match after the performance against Ireland. Like I mentioned in my previous posts when the pitch plays like it did, it gives average teams the chance to play well which Pakistan were able to do from day 1 and continue on with that form and beat England. This will give them a lot of confidence going into the second test match.

This match remained one-sided, with England looking like bulls only in one session (when their two batsmen had a good partnership at number 7 and , other than that session, Pakistani team looked confident and enthusiastic.
