Its getting colder by the day here in the UK and I've decided to break out the big guns, well.. its just an S1 , but its gonna sit full time on Nexious and also help keep my kitchen warm.                                                                                                                                                                                       Я тoжe cижy c S 1 ,вчepa пpишлa пocылкa, зaмeнил cгopeвшyю плaтy, тaк чтo бyдy дoгoнять вac пo мepe вoзмoжнocти. Grin

Basic translation is that he has an S1 also now on the pool.

The S1 was such a good little workhorse, didn't want to get rid of them when I upgraded to S3's. I have another S1 that I'll dig out today, was thinking of maybe trying my luck solo mining with it (it can help keep another back room warm  Smiley )

Edit - I've also dug out some stick miners.
Nexious - What would it take to open a solo port and show some simple stats on the web page. Maybe some smaller hash miners might want to join me for a small miner Lotto while the bigger mining rigs slog it out on the main pool.

Edit - Edit - Added a whopping 16GH of USB stick miners (8 sticks controlled by a RPi running MinePeon) to test out. I was really surprised how quick the VarDif on prt 3333 adjusted and they were all up and mining within a couple of minutes.

Nice to see some more miners coming onboard Wink

I am still playing/modifying a few things for a solo pool but it is coming soon! If people want do donate for hash rented I can do that, or we can find an escrow if people want. I can also provide statistics on what is rented/what is doing etc. Let me know how you want to proceed with that or not its all good!

Yes it seems at the current hashrate it may take a while to find a block, who knows we might get lucky!

Remember I am open to all ideas on ways we could entice new miners, a few people have asked for a solo pool with statistics so that is coming soon also Smiley

Its all about luck.

Talking of luck, took a look at my stick miners today,  Still running well on the VarDiff and a best of 3,224,509.

Don't go Spiker777 I need someone to join me on an S1 solo pool group.

Keep Calm and Carry On Mining.

Okay, sir, my final offer: half a shekel for an old ex-leper?

Nice share for a stick miner itsnogood, im working on the solo pool I may pm you to do some tests when I get to that stage if your interested?

It really is a game of luck, but with a higher hashrate the chances are greater. So we need more miners ideally, im trying to spread the word and looking into advertising options at the moment.

All accounts created before we find out first block will be converted to 0% fees!
** I have put a 1 BTC reward up for the first block finder! More info; Here **
I just created an account and started to mine using what ever BTC left on my mining rental account. Does this mean I am still eligible for 0% fees?

The main reason I asked is that, it shows on my dashboard as below that the pool fee is 1% which contradicts with what you wrote above.

Nexious was created with the intent of helping decentralize the network, as some of the larger pools had shut down.
This is the very reason I am trying your pool.

  • Anonymous Account Setting
I found this inaccurate (or perhaps I misunderstood this) as I had to register and gave out my email address. Which part of the account setting is anonymous? Please explain.

Edited: add the reason of the question about the pool fee which contradicts with what has been claimed

Nexious has been manually adjusting the account fees to 0%. I'm sure it will be adjusted or you.

0% fees and a 1 BTC first block finder reward. Its got to be worth a try.

Well... I am not sure about that. I have been mining on this pool for more than 32 hours, or 2 night times in New Zealand, but I have not seen any changes on my account as promised.

The people who have daily jobs usually very likely to do their side job at night. Perhaps he is really busy with his daily job as he previous wrote. But if he would be serious to provide every new miners with 0% fee before the pool gets a new block, I don't think that is very hard for him to automate that.

Perhaps he saw that my hash rate is too low for his target miners. Well... I can only afford to loose that much for trying. If he indeed had that in mind, i.e. catching the big fishes instead of small fishes like me, then I am wondering if his main intention of helping to decentralise the network is genuine. I am not complaining that he is trying to make profits out of his pool. That is perfectly fine. But if that would be indeed his main intention, then don't write about helping to decentralise the network. And I am not complaining about the 1% fee. That would be perfectly fine as well if he didn't make the promise.

My rental hashing is going to stop in about 2 hours. I don't think I will extend that or move my main miner to this pool which I initially planned to do for at least a month. The hash rate of my main miner is not much anyway. But I prefer to get a tiny amount of BTC instead of nothing.

Hi .anto.

I apologise for the delayed reply had to go away for my real job but am now back, can you pm me your username and I shall change your account to 0% fees Smiley

It has nothing to do with how big or small your hashrate anyone is welcome, and the 0% feed is something i am serious about.

Let me know if you have any more issues and I will try and sort them for you.

Hello, and welcome BannedDK.

Are you mining to the VarDiff port 3333 ?

You could try one of the fixed Diff ports.

stratum.nexious.com:3334
•Fixed Diff: 512

stratum.nexious.com:3335
•Fixed Diff: 1024

stratum.nexious.com:3336
•Fixed Diff: 2048

I have an S3 pointed to port 3333. You will need to leave it and it will settle down but you may find that the nature of VarDiff it will adjust.

I have also tried port 3334 (Fixed Diff: 512) and found that to be very stable.

Edit: Just logged on to my S3 and it shows a Diff of 1958 and an average hash of 454 GH/s. (This is on port 3333).
If you are looking at the worker stats on the Nexious web front end then it may look as though the hash rate is going up and down as it may  not be showing the average rate over the same set time.

I can have a look at tweaking the Vardiff a little so the variance swings aren't as big, but try a fixed port first to see if you get better results.

Let me know if you have any issues.
