I havent synced it yet, but I have a feeling the money supply will be VERY high. Do you have any plans later to do a coin swap and reduce the money supply?
Yes. Once I get the coin going we will re-build in a new algo and swap. But no POS will ever be introduced

Before making any change in money supply, a question:

Do we want to be store of value or everyday transaction coin?

I think the first one will be Bitcoin for sure, so we need to be the everyday transaction coin.

For that reason it can NOT be scarce, it must be abundant.

I think we are OK with the money supply

and which takeover group is behind this? looks like familiar hands worked for branding Smiley

No group. Just me, and my available time.

great for your iniciative! but if you are doing all the work by your own, you will probably need help.
You will need coding and marketing skills in your team.

That is correct. But for now until I get all the new wallets compiled and website finish, I will gladly retain the control. And we don't even have enough funds to get those people on board. Also, don't want to ruin what I'm doing with people who only talk and no show. You know what I mean? This needs to be done correctly, and by people who actually care about the future of this coin.

I see you are compromised with NYC, but I'm worried about you gladly retaining the control. How many NYC do you have?

No need to be worried, I'm only here to help. Control is best for knowing who does what for this coin. IT's not about keeping the coin... Plus this thing has been dead for some time now, and I've been following it since day one. And all alone I have done some beautiful things, for ex, new domain, new logo, new ann, wallets compiled with new logo, and a few more things that will be out in a few days. Also, I got it number one on Cryptopia for the second week straight so this week is our week to get listed. Cryptsy will be next also. And again I'm the one putting the funds up for this with no complaints, but since you are worried I have to put it out there.

And as for me, I have no NYC. But the takeover bucket has 200 million in just one day. So it's up to you if you want to be worried.

I think you should use newer code https://github.com/wargo32/NewYorkCoin (if yours is based on old code). I can compile Windows version of these for you.

Was that code ever used for this coin publically?

If it was then I agree that this should be the starting point for the new wallet, as it already has a whole bunch of updated things in it, like leveldb implementation, etc...

Is there a way you can compile it with the new version of the logo in them?? I also updated the old version to this version in the new GIT. Let me know what it would take to get those wallets compiled with the new logos...
Thanks!

I was going to suggest if you are going to compile new wallets, Could you modify block rewards to 1 at once, After all  supply is over 92 Billions considered by creators. Any better suggestion?  Could be done avoiding blockchain forking this?
Another thing that could be done is increase block time of 30 seconds to 2 minutes or so, I mean do this slower could be good idea, If it keep on 30 seconds weight of wallet.dat could be huge.

Of course if TronREX and the others member is of agree.

If were talking hard fork here,  I'd like to see the peer magic changed from 'c0c0c0' to something unique.

Put it on the list for consideration if a hard fork is in the future.

A thing is sure, An Hard fork is necessary, Better time to do this is just now, Because network is yet small, I mean few nodes, Only an exchange, Maybe 1 pool, Not faucets, Not extra services.  Considerations?

I am getting this spoke with at the moment let's see what the devs tell me about this. It is going to take some funds, so keep donations coming to get the best results as possible.
