There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Hello all, I made the "Unimpressed by MtGOX" thread. I put in a a very large sum of money. It has been over 48 hours, a number of rallies, and I still don't have my money on my mtgox account after being told it would be up shortly. I am highly frustrated by this and have essentially missed out on nearly doubling my money. Every moment that passes feels like watching money burn.

Damn... I remember the glory days when I thought 11.5 was a tragic jump up from the 8.5 I was on the edge of buying as I waited for my wire transfer to go through to Paxum (No dwolla in Canada). Then it did and I sent it to mtgox. Then the last 48 hours happened.

In other news, people on this forum seem quite mature and generally well spoken. =)

Hi all; I am a newbie. @Kid81 here although I hardly ever use Twitter. I am an Aussie and have been on here about 2 weeks. Must say; I am very excited but also a little apprehensive.

To those who are having trouble with MtGox money in your accounts. I was logged in to MtGox for days, It told me the money was in my account however it never came through. I finally logged out; changed my mind, logged back in and the cash was there. If you haven't already done so, log out and log in; it could solve your problem (either that or i am telling people what they already know and this isn't the issue!!!)
