Sadly, still on the road. Followed really small bits of it on patchy wifi before just using Livescores tracker. Seemed very even but a couple of missed shots by City amd the one cleared before Ederson saved from Salah.

Precious few shots in any case and few corners. So can't tell who played worse.

I blame Lovren for everything =p

Not the beautiful game that I expected but a good one overall. Both teams showed good football with Manchester City fighting more for the victory than Liverpool. Liverpool tried to respond but not good enough tonight, anyway the Premier League just become more interesting after this game. There is not a 7 points difference anymore and anything can happen until the end of the league in May.

4 point difference now.
Liverpool is known for scoring I am just surprised they could only get one.
Good for Manchester city for keeping them at only this one and not more.

I was amazed with the first goal scored by Sergio Aguero against Liverpool today, there was not much space for him to shoot from that angle but he is still able to fire in a goal. I think it was a very good decision made by Pep Guardiola to field Sergio Aguero into the starting line ups today, even though Liverpool did managed to equalize the score in the second half of the match, but Manchester City are still able to beat Liverpool in front of their home fans with the scoreline of 2-1. Manchester City are only falling behind Liverpool with 4 points now after today victory and Tottenham are 6 points behind Liverpool, I guess there is still a chance for both of these teams to catch up with Liverpool now until the end of this season.

Hmm, I don't know, Liverpool felt kinda "different" in the first half, not the usual offensive style with high pressure to get the ball fast, seems to me like they gave all the responsibility to City while they just stayed back just to counter-attack. Second half was better, Fabinho offered a lot more than Milner in the midfield but still, this wasn't the same Liverpool that i'm used to seeing every weekend...maybe it's just me, I don't know lol

So now back the series got interested after Man city won the match taking home ground benefit, as every one knows now only 4 point difference and coming match of all top teams will be interesting to watch because anyone making mistake will cost them to go down the table. The position is very tight and anything can happen in coming match.

Congrats Man city winning the match and living in the series for strong contender to win the EPL

Seems Liverpool journey to get the trophy not so smooth and after they were defeated then premier league will be more tight however the top 4 also so interesting that Man United under Solskjaer has change and i'm quite surprise with their performance too and Chelsea, Arsenal or Tottenham should be aware because if Man United can maintain their performance then it's possible they will finish at top 4 at the end of league

EPL is a very competitive league, after Liverpool defeat we will be more enthusiastic to continue to pay attention to the chaos that might occur after their schedules are getting tight with CL and EL. Concerns with players who might be injured in the middle of the trip and reserve players who have good quality are the key to the team being consistent towards the top I think.

Liverpool had their chances  and this could easily gone both ways. I don't like the Liverpool starting midfield line, most of the times they haven't put any effort of making the attacks. City did some pressing it let to many wrong long passes by Liverpool and City gaining the ball again fast.

I believe the league is still open to fight for now that the points have been bridged to 4 points and there are plenty of games to play. I think Liverpool look fantastic even in defeat and should they continue like this it will be difficult for the other teams to claim the title this season.

Yup...  I don't think Gabriel Jesus could handle the pressure as well as Aguero.  The latter has the experience in these crucial, tough matches.

Its been an entertaining game so far and I just hope there will be another goal scored before the end as I have my bet on over 3.5 goals for this match.

Anyway, League is now more competitive.  Liverpool is only 4 points ahead than Man City.

Am I the only one that though game was a bit too "rigid" (for lack of a better word) or is it just me? I mean don't get me wrong we still saw the great players doing what they do best but it felt like all 22 people hold back a bit instead of going all out. We know what they are capable of when they use 100% of their power and talents and this felt like a bit... bland.

Firmino has been on a great roll lately and made another goal today, he really knows where to be and when to be there, if we were playing Football Manager I would expect 20 positioning skills. Salah didn't do that much but he was still a presence and that that "gravity" to him. That first "goal" of Liverpool should have been given, I can't really see a millimeter of the ball on the line but that "all of the ball should leave the line" BS seems to be getting worse each year, I understand not half of it gone but it was just a tiiiiny fraction if even that much on the line. Sane was amazing once again, I love that man, he is both incredibly fast and also has insane ball control.

Absolutely, the CL will play a big role in how the english teams will prepare to face both competitions in the upcoming months. I believe Man City are the ones with the bigger squad so perhaps they can face both the CL and the EPL without an issue. Liverpool on the other hand, it feels like they don't have much "quality" outside of their starting XI, it'll be interesting to see how Klopp manages to stay competitive in both competitions.

But I think if Liverpool were to choose which competition they'd like to go all-in this season, I think it would be the Premier League.

Same here. To me it felt like the players were too afraid to make mistakes because they knew it could cost them the match, so they decided to play it safe most of the time...We still had a decent match, maybe our expectations for the game were too high? I don't know.

Close and intertaining game indeed, should have tied if Man city mistakenly made an own goal. That was a great kick in the face of the goal keeper lol and a great save as well

I dont think that it will be easy win for Liverpool as they are playing in away game and Brighton have benefit of home ground and they are good in defending, Man City home ground benefit should be their but i think we can expect draw in this match.

Tottenham vs Man utd, Tottenham is playing in their home ground which they should take benefit and win it, we can expect lot of goals, go for 2.5 and 3.5 goals and both team to score goal as both team have conceded the goal in their most of the game.
