Liverpool keeps EPL alive for them.I think that was a great win against Chelsea.Salah and Mane was superb in the match.Man City will face spurs and ManU in EPL.If they lose or draw any of them, EPL will be on Liverpool hands.I think Liverpool can make it, they will stole the PL title of this season.

ManC will fight Spurs twice at UCL and EPL This week, both teams must continue to focus on both competitions. and I'm sure ManC and Spurs really want a win from both competition. after those match ManC had been waiting for the manchester Derby (EPL). if in those three matches ManC failed to pick full points I am sure they will fail in both UCL and EPL competitions.

I think they cannot do the quadruple and agree with you. They will have to sacrifice something. If they get knocked out of Champions League this week, then sure, FA Cup and Premier League is theirs, they have a full squad. But believe me, if they reach the semifinals, they will probably meet Juventus so they will do everything they can to progress to their first ever final, and this knowing Pep might cause them to wobble in EPL.

But if they want to pick up max points and win EPL, they will sacrifice CL. Not because they want to, but because they can't do it.

I'm not sure I quite agree with you on this, If Man City make it the next round, they don't need to sacrifice one trophy for another, before the semi finals Man City would have played their toughest games (Man Utd and Tottenham) if they get to win both, they can afford to rest some of their tops players as they have strong second XI, and win their remaining matches as they've done several times this season.

Vital game tonight in the battle to avoid relegation. I think if Cardiff fail to get 3 points then I think relegation becomes a near certainty.

Right now Liverpool is in better position instead of City as they have some reasonable matches and City is going with some hard stuff lets see how they handle of going to complete four this season.

Chelsea had absolutely no chance in the game, it wasn't even close by talent, Liverpool had to win to ever have a chance to win it this year (and even with this win its not guaranteed) so Chelsea even though they want to stay in European contention can't really rival the potential champions after all. They have to rely on the fact that in the remaining games either arsenal or man united will lose some points, otherwise its as good as gone for them.

About the City situation, I doubt they will have to sacrifice anything, these people are playing for millions of dollars and the game is just 90 minutes, they should be capable of playing on EPL, CL and FA all at the same time, you might feel tired but for millions of dollars plus a 3 month break at the end of the season they might as well give their all for just couple more games, we are incredibly close to finish line.

Disagree wholeheartedly, Chelsea had 2 clear chances from Hazard. If he capitalized then we would be walking away from the game with some points. There is no amount of money that will make the players capable of playing 90 minutes of high intensity football every three days with little rest and training in between. They don't really get a full holiday, all of them will have international games to play with their nations and even without that they have to train to stay fit for the beginning of the season.

Lately in the Premier League relegated and almost relegated team are winning, I have in mind Everton losing to Fulham and yesterday night Cardiff losing to Brighton.I wonder what is their motivatio. since they are already relegated, maybe players wanting to show their skills so they can find a place in another Premier League team and to avoide playing in the Championship.

I was expecting yesterday for Cardiff to win that game because they played better in the last period but Fullham beating Everton was a really big surprise for me. Those team that are already relegated know that they can't do nothing now so they are playing better because they don't care anymore about the end result. They enjoy the game and take risks, which seems to work well.

Now it will be interesting to see how the remaining games play out as Man City was knocked out of the CL tonight while Liverpool made it through to the semi finals along with Tottenham. Man City can now just concentrate on the Premier League while Liverpool have the CL to worry about so its going to be interesting to see how this plays out for the remaining matches in the Premier League. What is everyone's thoughts on this?

I think winning the title in Premier League should be an easy mission for Man City if they remain concentrated. I was thinking they have 2 more hard games coming against Tottenham and United but since they got knocked out by Tottenham today they should definitely kill it when they play again so if they win the match against United tthe 1st place is almost assured for them.

I'm certain that Man City will end up as the premier league champions for this reason, They'll have all their focus on the league, and would seek revenge as they'll be playing against Tottenham again in the weekend, while Liverpool will have their attention divided between the premier league and  champions league where they could reach the final if they are able to beat Barcelona.

It's going to be very interesting to see how Man City will react after this painful exit in champions league, they should have been in the semifinals!
With odds around 10 for a Tottenham win, I'm going to find a good handicap bet on Tottenham!

valuable victory over Chelsea made Liverpool more sure and confident because they had traumatized the defeat against Chelsea when they failed to win. and I'm sure now is the right time for champions.

Now they should focus on the Premier League fully, and it will be a disaster for them if they won't win the EPL title.
Guardiola made so bad coaching yesterday, especially after they conceded the 3rd goal but I think that he will make his best in order to get the Premier League title.

I'll Man City on - 1.5 Handicapped, it's really going to be a long day for Tottenham, I guess.
But anything can happen, Tottenham could end up being the torn in Man City's flesh the season as there might be another upset caused.

Can you imagine how much pressure city are under to win this game, they HAVE to win EPL now.  tottenham can lose this and still make top 4.  Easy bet on city win. Smiley

I don't think so. They were a better team than Spurs but they knocked out. Winning in CL was their priority and failed. Look a few seasons back, always have worse results in PL when playing in this stage on CL. I think they are demoralized and it will be difficult to achieve all the winnings at the end of the season. Unless Liverpool start to do stupid things  Cheesy

Both teams will be exchausted, especially Tottenham who were running behind the ball pretty much the entire game. Though, mentally, I think City is the one a bit weaker in that regard.

I remember last year, City lost to United, then they were KO'd from the CL by Liverpool and everyone thought they were going to bottle it, next game against Spurs, they won, so the citizens are used to big dissapointments but they quickly recover domestically. Let's see if the same thing happens next saturday.

Interesting how the bookies have a home win @1.25 while a Spurs win is @9.00. It's payback time for the citizens, I'd go with H win and +3.5 goals lol

Let's see if the same thing happens next saturday.

Interesting how the bookies have a home win @1.25 while a Spurs win is @9.00. It's payback time for the citizens, I'd go with H win and +3.5 goals lol

They will win again, yesterday they were unlucky , Lorente admitted himself, ball was touched with hand.It is only the Premier League left to be won for Manchester City and they will only be focused there that is why the 1.25 odd.
