Retweet and prevent delisting

Community, keep AmsterdamCoin on Bittrex! Retweet:

https://twitter.com/amsterdam_coin/status/746745225935265792?s=03

Sorry, I have been off the grid for the last 2 weeks.  Missed that chance to keep AMS listed.

Bittrex appears to be more trigger happy lately, before there was a grace period before they actually executed the delisting. Damn!

Yes it has gone very rapidly. I feel terrible about this. The world is not ready for real world payments with crypto currencies. I'll tell you this, one day the world will be ready and AMS can be used as payment in stores. Its just a matter of time. Seen the problems with the wallet I am thinking about a swap. Start over with a fresh chain and try to get listed at Poloniex. How does that sound?

Are you planning on sticking with Quark or switching to a different algorithm?

I am not very sure. At the moment HODL is crossing my mind. Maybe I'll setup a poll so the community can vote. I like the idea of some democracy when it comes to this kind of decissions.

there was fork?

my current block - 606481
on Yobit - 607337

what of them true?

I have two Masternodes that connect to the developers blockexplorer (http://www.amsterdamblockchain.info/). The Kees block explorer is currently not available for some reason, but my nodes are usually connected to Kees node, and is on the same chain as YObit is currently.

You can check one of my nodes here: http://ams.midnightminer.net/

In the future if you wish to avoid getting stuck on a fork try adding this to the amsterdamcoin.conf:
Code:
connect=184.6.147.2
connect=ams1.midnightminer.net
connect=ams2.midnightminer.net

connect - connects only to these nodes (requires that you really trust these nodes to stay on the right chain).

or

Code:
seednode=184.6.147.2
seednode=ams1.midnightminer.net
seednode=ams2.midnightminer.net

seednode - Connects to node(s) to receive peer addresses to connect then disconnects from seed node (more in line with the goal of p2p wallets without overloading the seed nodes).

Hope this helps!

My Block Explorer was down most of the day today, mostly my fault for falling asleep at the switch and letting my Free Disk Space obtain ZERO!  *face palm*

Things are back up...

Anyone else experiencing serious disk thrashing by the AMS wallet?
My Disk I/O on Windoze and linux are high for the AMS wallet.

I will investigate in my free time.

To speed up the first syncronisation we have a bootstrap available here: http://www.amsterdamcoin.com/download/bootstrap.zip

Can an up-to-date one be uploaded?

I'm having an aweful time trying to sync this thing

ZPOOL - the miners multipool! Support We pay 10 FLUX Parallel Assets (PA) directly to block rewards! Get paid more and faster. No PA fee's or waiting around for them, paid instantly on every block found!

It has been a while.. So here is a bootstrap from my Master Node created as few minutes ago:

Let me know when you tried it, I don't want to leave the file on the server.

Only contains a file named bootstrap.dat and did nothing for me it seems I don't know where to place it as there is no file originally named bootstrap.dat in the AppData folder

When you copy the bootstrap.dat file into your %appdata% directory (Windoze) or ~/.amsterdamcoin2  (linux) and start (or restart the wallet) the wallet will load the blockchain data from the bootstrap.dat file.

OK, I took a look at your debug.log and it looks like your are on a forked chain, that is why your wallet is not sync'ing.

Code:
receive version message: version 61402, blocks=604736, us=64.71.178.234:57021, them=99.253.130.167:61510, peer=99.253.130.167:61510

ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED

Checking the block explorer the hashes do not match for blocks 604644, 604645, 604646 ...

Then later, you restarted your wallet and it connected to one of the seed nodes and when checking the last 500 blocks that is when the exceptions started happening.  your hash chain did not match with the seed node blockchain and therefore could not sync.

Code:
Opened LevelDB successfully
LoadBlockIndex(): hashBestChain=c8df45b9a928bff59f81d8c1160fa1bdc746fc8c321f44ef0dd33dd248642377  height=604646  trust=84358667994094737231  date=07/02/16 05:35:59

I will post a link to a fresh bootstrap.dat in the morning, so that you can download and put in your %appdata%/AmsterdamCoin directory (Windows) to bring your node up-to-date on the right blockchain.

There are a few nodes out on the net that are persistently on the wrong chain, not sure if it is malicious or not, but I have got caught on the wrong chain twice in the past.

The more wallets that are running the more stable the blockchain and the coin becomes, and will eventually negate the rogue wallets on the forked chain.

NOTE: @gothikghk - I reviewed your debug.log, you can edit your post and remove the link to the debug file to be on the safe side.  No need to keep the file or the link up for any length of time.

This is an old post, but these nodes are still online and still causing problems.

Also this node appears to be on the wrong chain:
99.253.130.167 - near Edmundston, NB Canada

Update:

I have both my nodes confirmed on the proper chain.
ams1.midnightminer.net
ams2.midnightminer.net

We need the pool operators to please contact Keesdewit or myself ( I am volunteering to help) to confirm you are on the right chain and set up your wallets to limit the spread of orphan blocks on the p2p channel.

If you have the following IP*, you are on the fork:
Code:
74.5.137.87
74.77.15.47

Obsolete wallet:
Code:
54.88.159.85
176.31.53.252
81.47.172.176

*Note: I will update this post over the next few days with new IPs as they show up in the log file.
