AC Milan this season has been quite active in the transfer market, Giroud may be considered as old players, but I still remember Jankulovski, seedorf, gattuso, Pippo, even though they are an old player, but he proved that he has quality and managed to bring AC Milan to the championship in the 2010/11 season. I do not think that they are there to help each other, I feel like they are both old (ibra specifically) and it sounds like there is a chance they are there to play when the other one can't, so when one old player gets injured or tired then the other will play.
Ibrahimovic was praised for last year's performance a lot but look at how many games he played and you will see that he played awesome but for a very little amount of games, hence why there is a new transfer, Giroud is there when Ibra can't play, or they will still play together but if one gets injured or tired the other one can step up all by themselves, that seems like the aim. Milan is not really looking like a championship level of team anyway and spending only a small amount is not a problem for them, Giroud was basically free player for them and that is going to at least not hurt them even if not help them.

I have watched Giroud play for Chelsea and you’re underestimating him by a big margin, because even at this age he’s a top class footballer and he can definitely make a big impact if he’s played continuously. Yes, You're Right, The last data I saw from the transfermarkt site the price of chiesa was around 70 million Euros (Updated 15 July 2021). It would be very difficult for Atalanta to buy this player, especially in a situation where many clubs are in financial crisis.

Giroud is not a fast player but he contributes to team tactics from Arsenal, Chelsea to France. France won World Cup 2018 with Giroud is their main striker in the squad but Giroud played all matches for France in that World Cup and no single goal for him. There are times they will play together, when AC Milan need to score goals, equalizers or winning goals. Zlatan is one of greatest strikers in history and his fitness is amazing at his age now. If Ibra did not get injury in Manchester United, I think he would have been able to play better. As wrote above, possibly but not too often. They might overlap in positions if they begin together so I believe that they will only play together if AC Milan are very hurry to score goals.

They are not forwards, but are strikers. Giroud is more likely as forwards but Zlatan is a classic striker. In the two seasons he played for AC Milan, his main position is a striker but at some moments, he contributed to the club tactic as a forward.

It seems like Chelsea will go for Romelu Lukaku if they fail on signing Erling Haaland this summer. Inter are demanding at least £102.5m to let him go. Romelu Lukaku also would be a really good striker transfer. He got 24 goals and 10 assists in 36 Serie A games in the last season. Yeah, he is much older than Haaland of course but he is more experienced also.
