defeating Napoli did not have any effect on the Serie A standings, even though the points difference was very large. However, Napoli must take lessons from this defeat to inflame the enthusiasm, strength and determination of Napoli players in future matches, especially in the UCL League. On the other hand Lazio always manages to show their best abilities when facing the Serie A giants.

Yeah the defeat won’t have any negative impact on their standing but it is likely to halt Napoli's attempts to reach Juventus' record points total of 102. Honestly that never really made any sense to me anyway. I get that it would be a lovely thing to have, but why would you even want to go for that and push your players too much. They are still in UCL right now which is a proof that we are talking about a team that is still going to fight for something, Serie A is not something they need to work too much for, they already got that and they won't face any situations there, it's done.

However, UCL will be pretty hard and likely that they won't win it neither. I think it is much better to forget about the record, and just focus on UCL at this point, put all their best foot forward there to get as further as they can.

Over 33 years ago since they won the league and I see them running for it again this season and it will be a massive achievement for them. V. Osimhen, having one of the best form in his career and being the highest goal scorer might even change the mind of the president of Napoli on what he said about African players, maybe this can make him get more African players after this season,well who knows. With the point difference and all that I think the league is already done and dusted.

He has scored 19 goals in the 21 games he has played, that is more during his time at Napoli and he still has a chance to increase his tally this season because he still has a lot of games left. He is also the current leader in the top scorer rankings in Serie A. Apart from Victor Osimhen's impressive performances, the role of other players has also helped a lot. Because Napoli also recorded assists including 3 of their players in the top 10 who provided assists, it means that there is very good cooperation between Napoli players.

It's true that Inter Milan is in a place that will take them to the Champions League, but I can't say for sure whether they will actually be in that position until the end of the season or not. Because Serie A still leaves matches that can make them shift from the top 4 rankings. Their 7 defeats this season shows that they are still very beatable and not really stable, their losses are more than last season which only felt 4 defeats, even though they have drawn more than this season.

No goal for Osimhen, but he remain in top of ladder

Lol, he is the most fertile player in Serie A this season. If I'm not mistaken Osimhen has only failed to score in 5 games this season and that includes the Napoli vs Lazio game.

Osimhen is ahead of Martinez with a 5 goal difference. i guess the top score will be osimhen if i can say it earlier. Martinez can catch a goal from Osimhen but that could happen if Osimhen finds a point of difficulty in the next game.

for Osimhen this is his brilliant season with Napoli I think he will work hard in every game to score goals.

Inter Milan is performing well and they are getting progress and playing better than before special they are playing much better than at the start of the season when they lost many points but still, there is 15 points gap between Inter Milan and Napoli and just because Napoli lost one game against Lazio we can't say Napoli is not strong anymore and they are ready to lose their place on the league, during this season Naplo lost only two times so far.

Exactly, Mourinho has had his teams play a tactic with emphasis being put on the defense everywhere. When he won the Champions League with Inter Milan against Bayern Munich, it was the same. They defended so well and then they brutally used their chances and scored. That was so typical for Mourinho's team. The problem for the fans is that his games are sometimes ugly to watch. It is not really fun because it is almost too tactical and often dirty and everyone wants to see games like the 2:5 between Liverpool and Real Madrid.

It is his favorite tactics and I believe any club intend to hire Mourinho actually know about that. They accept that their clubs will play with defensive and counter attacking tactics as their main formations in most of clubs. They do know that it is unrealistic to require a coach like Mourinho, at his old age, changing his style completely from defensive to attacking.

It makes more sense that if in big clubs with abundant attacking star players, Mourinho still prioritized defense and counter attacking, it is not impossible for him to do this in AS Roma. However, I think you're missing a point that in Real Madrid, they scored many goals with Mourinho but still if anyone don't satisfy with tactics they played, it's personal opinion.

But now he is doing it again and Roma is stubbornly keeping its position in Serie A. Mourinho's contract is running until this summer. It is likely that he is going to wait what Roma qualifies for and then he is going to make his decision about an extension. It is also a possibility that he is already negotiating with other clubs.

Roma has a traditional of attacking and beauty football but in history, they win very little titles in Serie A and in Europe, only when Mourinho came, they just were able to win their first title in Europe at Conference League last season.

In this season, Roma are suffering unreadiness of Nicolo Zaniolo that affects their attacking power in general. Mourinho and Roma have to prioritize results, not beauty football. Only Paolo Dybala is not enough to change their attacking and we see that their creative attacking depends a lot on Dybala.

I checked out how many goals Real Madrid scored when Mourinho was a coach there from 2010 to 2013 and I remember that they also played a defensive style. I expected some lower than average numbers.

I had some different memories there but I was off as it seems. Over the three years that is close to three goals per game, which is not as low as I would have expected. Actually it is quite a decent average per game score.  

But at Inter in 2009 and 2010 he had the best defense in both years, which was not surprising and he got the Serie A title in both years as well. He is just an awesome guy somehow and an icon in the soccer world.

While Lautaro is the only Inter player in Top Scorer list with 5+ goals, duo of Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia able to net 29 goals in total. Kvaratskhelia also made numerous assists, mostly to Osimhen, so yeah Osimhen will be safe in the top position. He will score again in next week for sure.

this season is still long I think we have to see how well inter milan will fight in the remaining matches this season.
