If you check the Serie A standings you will see that Atalanta has already secured a ticket to the Champions League next season they got it because they managed to reach the final in the Europa League so for this season Serie A will get 5 tickets to the Champions League the same thing in the Bundesliga also gets 5 tickets. Yeah, on May 16 Atalanta will face Juventus in the final Coppa Italia  but I think this is an obstacle for them I mean they will play 2 final matches and that's not a normal situation.
