I don't think the idea of selling Victor Osimhen was only done by Antonio Conte, the club's management is also involved but I wonder what could make the player attract so much hate from the club he once helped to win the Serie A. Osimhen is a typical waiting striker so there must be a player who can provide a good ball supply in midfield, he is not a typical striker who picks up the ball which we can see when a club implements a false nine. But overall he is a good player.

Antonio Conte had talks with Victor Oshime for him to stay with the club but he was serious about leaving the club for good after all the disrespect faced from Napoli. Loaning Osimhen is a bad decision. Anyone saying otherwise is lying. But that is Conte decision. Osimhen's issues were a distraction. Conte had to make a tough call, and he chose unity over individual talent. That said, dont count Napoli out just yet. Kvaratskhelia is a superstar in the making. The kid's got the stats to back it up. 26 goals and 27 assists in 92 games is a good stat. And also Lukaku. Sure, he's not Osimhen, but the guy knows how to find the back of the net.

Lukaku is a great player, but he is not unleashed to the peak of his form in every system. Some managers know how to get the best out of him, some don't. He was never the one to take the ball in dribble past 5 to score a belter, but he is someone who creates a lot of space for his other attackers, takes runs in behind, and gets into dangerous positions more often than most others.

The fact that Osimhen remained unsold is a massive flaw on Napoli's side. Osimhen made it clear long ago that he wants to leave, and had talks ongoing throughout the transfer window. I think it wasn't Conte's decision to sell Osimhen but Osimhen wanted to leave the club and as a club manager whatever the management decides is what will happen. Napoli have seen it that Osimhen wants to leave the club by all means an d for that reason they need to allow him leave but the price that they put on him is a sign that they never planned for is leaving so soon.
