I think Napoli were a team that could have made it to the top 24, but their failure to do so was actually a big surprise. Perhaps injuries affected them a lot. Napoli doesn't have many options when they're experiencing a lot of injuries, especially if the injured player is a key player, so they're forced to use substitutes whose performance isn't as good as the main players. Napoli really need to recruit players whose performance is not much different from the main players so they can rotate players and if something happens, Napoli doesn't experience a significant decline like now.

Injuries aside, Napoli does not have a solid form, look at the times they had their complete squad as compared to now is the difference really big or wide enough? They are just using the injuries as another sufficient excuse for their poor performance and productivity of recent, they had all the chances and even now they still have the chances with the transfer window if they so need players, so the injured ones can be substituted for while they get better, so it is beyond just the injuries of some of their players.

Any club that will do well you will notice the sign from the beginning till the end, but as it stand now, I don't think Napoli will reach the position they reached last season, because they have lost against some clubs that would have given their fans hope of winning this premier league trophy. Injuries is a bad thing every coach is praying for not to happen to their players, because once injuries start happening to players their performance will drop down to surprise some people which is what is happening to Napoli now and it will be hard for Napoli to experience the opportunity they experienced last season.

You can't use inter Milan players to compare Napoli players in this season, because inter Milan remain on top of the Italian league table till now for you to know that inter Milan players will continue do everything possible in this season to lift the trophy.
