If good old footballing is all that historic clubs can offer, then clubs with new ideas on pitch will be able to outpace them to grab fat European berths. This is natural progression, and it shows that past historic trophies are nothing if a team has no desire to win trophies now.

To my mind, that is perfect formula to produce world class players, a raw talent in a stable European club, with tactically brilliant manager. Young winger wants cohesive structure where he can be encouraged to be more creative in attacking realm other than one that is floundering due to poor management and in-fighting. Under proper development coaching, player will be able to easily become unstoppable global superstar, if he/she is given chance to play on m biggest continental stage.

Milan's future manager is still not decided. Pochettino is one of the names going in rumours but he is managing the USA national team.

I wouldn't expect him to sign until the end of the World Cup. However Milan shouldn't wait that long in my opinion.  Sad

Arne Slot has just got sacked by Liverpool. He is also said to be a candidate but I don't know if he thinks of working in Italy now.

They have spoken to Oliver Glasner already but he's yet to give a response. This should be his last with Crystal Palace and I think he will do a beautiful work in the Italian Serie A.

Pochettino isn't all that we saw with Chelsea and PSG. He can not be tue one bringing Milan back to full form.

Good thing Liverpool showed Arne Slot the exit, it was right about time they did that!

The news of Rafael Leao popped up, he gas decided to leave Ac Milan.

Juventus is doing so badly that they needed to change the discussion around them. Finishing the season at sixth place? That is as shameful as it gets and with the way they are spending money, they should be a top four team every single year, and hell even maybe fight for a title.

Teams expenditure on transfers is not a benchmark for becoming a champion, look at the most wasteful team this season, they didn't even get 1 trophy. What I mean is Liverpool, they spent €483,000,000 without a single trophy. I think Juventus have done the best they can, the other teams are in their best form, that's the reason why Juventus can only be in 6th place this season. Luckily, they will still be playing in Europe next season, unlike Chelsea who will only be playing in local competitions.

You say that Juventus spent a lot of money, but honestly, I haven't noticed any major signings for their squad.
As far as I know, Juventus has been under financial pressure for the last few seasons. They have even had to sell some important players on several occasions to help stabilize their finances. On top of that, Juventus faced disciplinary issues in recent seasons and was banned from participating in certain European competitions. There is also the burden of high player wages, which continues to put pressure on the club's finances.

Because of all these factors, Juventus hasn't been in a position to spend heavily in the transfer market over the past few seasons. That's why I agree with your point of view.

You are probably right. It would not be  wrong to say that Pochettino is overrated. Pochettino is 54 years old and experienced. He probably  started his coaching career in  2012. But I have known him since he was the manager of PSG. He was not successful with PSG. Then he failed with chelsea too. We do not get anything good from him at all. So if milan now give pochettino the  responsibility, it does not seem that their situation will  change. It will not be possible  for milan to compete for the title.

Well, it depend how the coach carry out his research to sign the players, because if you check every successful club you will know that the kind of players they have is what made them to achieve the result they are celebrating.I will like to use Juventus as an example,  when Juventus spend money to signed players and also get a loan of one striker it made Juventus to achieved the result they desire in that season, but since they released some of their players for sale it made this season to be the worse season for them.

I guess their management are aware about their strikers in this season, I believe they will surely going to make some announcement that will make potential players to start submitting application, and it will help their management to select players that will boost their performance in the future.

I don't understand how a coach with such a failed career can still manage such top teams. Even though the opportunities offered to him are very high, I think he shouldn't join big teams because of his failures. However, I insist that big teams should appoint these kinds of coaches. Perhaps it's time to give more opportunities to young coaches in football.

There is another name that is also rumored to coach Milan, which is the former Crystal Palace coach, Oliver Glasner. He parted ways with Crystal Palace after successfully winning the Europa Conference League trophy. It is said that both parties are only planning to talk. So it is still not certain who will be the coach to decide Milan's fate next season.

Glasner and Iraola both are in the rumours. However I have heard something like Iraola doesn't think of joining because of not thinking about going to Italy now.

He is probably looking for Liverpool job now. Glasner could also be a nice choice for Milan maybe. I can't say anything confidently because of not watching him in the Serie A ever.

In my opinion, a team like Milan should hire Jorge Jesus (the Al Nassr coach). For me, he would be the ideal coach for Milan.

He is also a good name, yeah. But I have heard it like he is considering to return to Fenerbahçe in case of getting an offer this summer.

Yes, precisely when Covid 19 hit, Juventus experienced a financial crisis, we know that not only Juventus but most clubs experienced it due to reduced income when Covid occurred, but as the saying goes “when it rains, it pours” Juventus experienced a financial crisis again due to the violations they committed. This is why in recent seasons the management cannot invest more money than usual in each transfer market, they have to fix their finances first and that makes it difficult for them to fight for the Scudetto. The good news is that even though they only finished in 6th place this season, I hear their finances are much more stable, so maybe in this window they will spend more money to strengthen the squad.

Pochettino's only trophies in his career have come from a Ligue championship and titles in 2 other local cups.

He has really good placements with Tottenham in the past for many years too though. I wouldn't call him like a bad manager at least. I wouldn't say anything like overrated or underrated about him.

Who knows maybe he would do a pretty good job at Milan. At least he might finish in top 4 which would be a good start for them.

Milan need a motivated manager if they are to win the Serie A title.
At the moment, there are many names being bandied about as possible candidates for the Milan manager’s job, but simply changing the manager won’t be enough; the team’s approach needs to change. Unfortunately, too many players who were considered top-class have turned out to be flops.

It's funny how things move so fast in this transfer market. A few hours ago I saw a news report on TV saying that Rafa Leão likes Manchester United. I thought it would just be another news item, something unimportant, something like: "he just said what he likes and it's not like he's asking to play for Manchester United" but now I see news saying that Rafa Leão is leaving Milan. It's strange, because I remember he said he wouldn't leave Milan, and now suddenly he's changed his mind and is leaving Milan. It seems like he received an offer from some big club in another league and must have seen that offer as better than staying at Milan, which isn't even going to the Champions League.

Yes, the market has always been so frenetic and i think that this summer with the World Cup in between it will be even hotter. Leao's name is certainly hot because he is a strong player who however is unable to express himself within Milan. It seems that they are a bit blocked which puts little emphasis on his value, even not playing in the Champions League is not good.

Leao has a contract with Milan until 2028. Therefore, if he leaves, a high transfer fee will have to be paid. Milan won't let him go cheaply. So, the team that wants him must be prepared to pay that fee. I don't think he deserves a high transfer fee this year because of his poor performance. However, the team that acquires him might see this as an opportunity and expect a better performance from him next year. Let's see which team he goes to, I think he might go to Spain.

I read that Barcelona was interested in Leao at one point, but after their recent transfers, I don't think Barcelona would want him. I also read that Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe in the Super League wanted to sign him. Of course, this is just speculation, and speculation arises almost every day in Turkey. Especially in the football world, they write that Galatasaray will sign many star players. One thing is certain: Leao will leave the team. We will only see which team he goes to after the World Cup.

In my opinion, a team like Milan should hire Jorge Jesus (the Al Nassr coach). For me, he would be the ideal coach for Milan. He would make Milan play beautiful football and win Serie A, and they could even do well in the Champions League. Jorge Jesus has already coached Benfica, Flamengo, Al Nassr, and even Fenerbahce, and in all those teams he made them play well; only at Fenerbahce did he fail to win the title. But I believe that at Milan he would be capable of winning Serie A. Honestly, I don't know why Pochettino would be a good option. I see that the Milan management still lacks ideas about what they really want in the long term. They will probably fail again next season.
I know everyone was fascinated by the way Jorge Jesus took the reins of Al Nassr and led them to victory. It's truly one of the most remarkable things that has caught his attention. He only joined the team to help Cristiano Ronaldo win the league, which is very commendable and speaks volumes about him. I agree that they should bring Jorge Jesus to Milan; I would love to see him managing Modric. I think he would make them a very strong team, worthy of competing in the Champions League.

Jorge Jesus is a coach we know from Turkey, and he did a good job there. He also had a successful period in Saudi Arabia. I think he's someone who could be successful at Milan. When he takes over at Milan, he'll be there with new players and a new structure. It's difficult to predict who will take over the team, but I think this would be one of the best options.

Leao's name is hot also because he is not a poor player who is unable to do what is asked of him, clearly at Milan he was put in a condition that in my opinion he is unable to express his potential 100% and this is a very strange thing and so they only waste one player, they will never be able to do better than this with this player at Milan.

I don't believe that Nassr is a starting point or could be, in fact i believe that it is a place where players and coaches go to make money and stay calm, even if it must be said that there is a lot of talent who moves there for work, and for this reason i believe that some people should be recognized for this.
