Football has become a massive industry, you shouldn't be surprised by the huge sums of money flowing into the sport. However, if we look at the financial disparities between leagues, I would agree that Serie A is one of the leagues that isn't particularly strong financially. Finally, there's Como, which became the richest club in Serie A after being acquired by an Indonesian billionaire.

Money plays a role in football, especially considering the popularity of the league, and Saudi Arabia is one such example. It's no surprise how money flows so readily into this industry.
Some clubs are willing to spend huge sums of money just to acquire one player they desire, even if the player's expectations are often far from what they expected.
Overall, it's true that a league as popular as Serie A isn't as financially robust as the Premier League, but Como's recent performance after being acquired by an Indonesian billionaire has been quite surprising. They have set targets for next season so they can compete with other top teams.

Unfortunately yes and it's disconcerting how teams only look for shortcuts
very few of them now take care of the youth teams and of developing the players, they prefer to buy and play for big money and then get into frightening debt
This way of thinking has led to disaster in Italy

the Italian national football team is really awful

Juventus, Inter, and Milan are the teams I expect to make big transfers, but I don't recall them making any major signings so far. Milan signed Modri? last year when he was 40 years old. It seems that good, high-quality players aren't choosing Italy anymore, their priority is the Premier League or the Spanish league.
Serie A has become a boring championship as demonstrated by the numbers arrived this year, the record for the fewest goals in a championship day, the quality has been lost a bit and this can be seen from the fact that in the champions apart from Inter the others struggle even just to get past the group stage, this can be seen from the fact that the national team has no promising young players, Italian football must change to change.
Of course Serie A lost a lot of appeal compared to 15-20 years ago but at least it's still an interesting league because we often see a different winner. Let's take a look at France and Germany for example: the winners are always PSG and Bayern Munich, it's not really fun to watch a league just to see who is going to arrive second because you already know who is going to win.
Interested side of Serie A not dominance the winner one team only difference from Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1. Last five years have three difference club from Inter, Napoli and AC Milan as Serie A winner with previuosly have Juventus but in last few season get downtrend performance.
Serie A indeed not really popular if comparison with top Europe domestic league but still competitive regarding last five years there not any team can't winning Scudetto back to back, last two season Napoli success become the winner but last season can't defend their Scudetto tittle and Inter Milan success winning scudetto. Have chaance for this pattern continue at next season with Inter Milan can't defend their Scudetto and other team such as Mlan or Napoli win the Serie A?
Right now Inter are still the best team, by far, so I think they are going to win the Serie A again. It's going to be interesting to see what the other teams will do: if they buy a couple of right players we could have some serious contenders. On paper Inter should have won more leagues during the last years, but it didn't happen. That means the league is kind of unpredictable, and that's a good thing.
Inter are a very good team on paper, and we expected them to win many championships in recent years, but there have been years when they haven't won the Italian championship. Therefore, we're talking about a rivalry where even the favorites on paper can't win. While this rivalry is very exciting in Italy, they are no longer achieving success in Europe. I expect them to get stronger and achieve success in Europe.

Lol, is that how you rate Como so low? You never can tell what they're cooking up or preparing for the Champions League; I'm never going to doubt them until I watch one or two of their Champions League games come this season. They can even outperform some big teams you wouldn't have thought of. Remembering having qualified to make their tournament debut, Como would not want to go home disgracefully in the champions having gotten such an opportunity to appear in such a big competition for the very first time.

for me Como will be the surprise of this Champions League, it arrived in Serie A and after many years it immediately found its way to the most prestigious of European tournaments, even overcoming AC Milan and Juve, if Fabregas manages to find the right additions and get the team moving so as to let them rest when needed, then i have no doubts about the fact that they can do well in the Champions League.

I think Fabregas is relying more on the players he already has. They're actually quite good at attacking, but I think they could use some strengthening in defense and midfield for the new season and frankly, they could also use another good forward. So Fabricas definitely has some work to do, especially considering he'll also be playing in the Champions League next season.

They don't actually have Champions League aspirations. Therefore, they are psychologically a bit more relaxed. Como is a team made up of very talented players. Their qualification for the Champions League in Italy last year was no coincidence. They will want to show a similar performance in Italy this year. The Champions League will be a slightly less important part for them. Therefore, transfers are essential.

What I mean is, if Italian teams only focus on transferring foreign players, especially older players it will hinder their development opportunities, and this will also impact the quality of Serie A teams, especially when competing in European competitions. Honestly, I really want to see Serie A return to the way it was a decade ago when it was the most competitive league even compared to the EPL.

not only in Spain but in most of Europe they invest in their young people and in infrastructure to improve their performance and increase their chances of bringing out talent, in Italy out of 60 million people do you want to tell me that there are no talents? or maybe its everything else that isn't controlled properly and this causes 16 years without a world championship.

Haha, that's his opinion so it doesn't matter maybe he compares each squad with all the competitors, while I agree with you it would be better to wait for their match in the Champions League from there we can know whether Como is truly worthy of competing in the Champions League. On the other hand, we are also waiting for Como steps in this transfer window and as we know, several names are included in the target list which means they not only want to appear but also take part in the race for the trophy. I hope Como can bring in Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea, his arrival could help Como defense line.

For me he has already shown that he is worthy of it, he had an incredible season while Milan and Juve fell asleep on the finishing line and found themselves in the Europa League, i think it is more correct that the two teams take a bath in humility in the second tournament for European prestige.

Inter Milan are still good no doubt on that, but we all know football doesn’t work like that because currently the games haven’t commence yet, which we all know that inter Milan can still maintain their dominance, but others teams can still outperform them. Base on the signings they have done so far I can say inter Milan has some plans for their defence which if it works out, they will still dominate the league this season. Although it’s just as you mentioned, the league is a bit unpredictable.

for me Como will be the surprise of this Champions League, it arrived in Serie A and after many years it immediately found its way to the most prestigious of European tournaments, even overcoming AC Milan and Juve, if Fabregas manages to find the right additions and get the team moving so as to let them rest when needed, then i have no doubts about the fact that they can do well in the Champions League.

Como come to Serie A with a very good working spirit, which they put it effort to achieve the position there are currently in. If AC Milan and Juventus were serious last season, Como would have not gotten the opportunity to make it to the champions league, but with their effort they made it, so I believe Fabregas will do the best for them even in the champions league. Although champions league is a serious league, even as Como has been a good performing team they need too multiple their efforts if not they will find it hard to go above the group stage.

The Hartono brothers would have to increase their spending since they would be competing in the most prestigious League competition. It is good to see that they have signed defender Andrés Cuenca, forward Álvaro Morata, and midfielder Luis Milla. But with the increase in the number of games and the quality of teams that will be met in the UCL, more players should be added. Cesc Fabregas would be happy that Nico Paz decided to remain in the club instead of returning to Real Madrid.

This is season to remember for Como story. The club, led by Fabregas, and which had been in Serie D seven years ago, finished ahead of both Milan and Juve on final day. Beat Cremonese 4-1 while Milan were losing at home to Cagliari, who did not have much to lose. But it is no accident, it is the complete fall of Milan. Then Juve were held back by Torino, 2-2 in a game that began an hour late following fan trouble. Both giants failed in same day on last day of season, change of the tables last seen in the 1991-92 season. @Martinom is correct, it is Europa League for them. Como got in to play.

Juventus to win the Serie A? I am a Juventus fan, nobody believes Juventus have a chance to win the Serie A, let's be real. Ekhator of course has been bought for his potential, not for his current numbers. Openda just needs to leave, I don't care where, he is so bad. Boga is a backup, every time he played he did a good job.

Juventus has gaps in all departments, even in goal, Gregorio has set a record of his own, having scored the highest number of goals with the first shot on goal, the defense is somewhat safe, the midfield has a Thuram that advances with the ball at his feet but as with Olise he finds himself in a team in which he is unable to express his maximum potential, not to mention the attack, crazy expenses for players who perform poorly, i hope some important changes arrive.

It will be a nice surprise to see Como in the UCL; they deserved it last year. They have an inexperienced team, but I still think that they will show their full potential in the group. Since 24 teams are going through, I think that they can definitely make it. Still don't see any strong signings in their team for now (Morata is way past his prime).

for me Como will be the surprise of this Champions League, it arrived in Serie A and after many years it immediately found its way to the most prestigious of European tournaments, even overcoming AC Milan and Juve, if Fabregas manages to find the right additions and get the team moving so as to let them rest when needed, then i have no doubts about the fact that they can do well in the Champions League.

It will be a nice surprise to see Como in the UCL; they deserved it last year. They have an inexperienced team, but I still think that they will show their full potential in the group. Since 24 teams are going through, I think that they can definitely make it. Still don't see any strong signings in their team for now (Morata is way past his prime).

for those who followed Como's route it's only half a surprise
at least I was sure and I would have even bet on it that Como would have played at least one cup next (this) season
Unfortunately, I don't think there is such a bet, I could have done it on Polymarket actually, what a fool
it's valid for next time

As a team who will be having an experience not regular to them, they will have some slight indifference about the league because it can exert some forms of pressure on them but it will not be too overwhelming that they will chicken out, i am saying on the bases of their performance in their domestic league last season that earned them the champions league spot. They are most definitely not going to win the champions league but the expectations of them is that they get to a very good level in the champions league before they will exit by virtue of a top team defeating them in a fixture that will get them kicked out.

If they finish among the top 24 teams in the UCL and advance to the first knockout stage, it will be a great experience for Como. Right now, their main focus will be on playing 8 good matches and trying to get a minimum of 7 points. This is the UCL, and even just being here and attending the UCL ceremony is a reward for these players.

Yes is half a surprise but you know is not easy to finally made a good season, a lot of times we saw some teams making really good efforts and build a decent rooster of players but when it comes to the real play they start to fell across the season, and Como under the Fabregas spell seems to have rech the point of becoming finally a solid team.

Lets see now with more than one competition how they manage the players, and is gonna be the final explosion of Nico Paz?

The Italian league needs promotions and media influence to attract fans the more. Players who are talented prefer visibility which is why it's like they choose the premier League and Laliga to sign for. I will even say that Italian league started gaining more views and interest since the arrival of Christiano Ronaldo which brought to the league more fans around the globe and since his exit, no much star players have lasted in the league. Now young players want to be seen and apart from inter Milan, their teams don't last long in the champions League which also scares young talents who want to shine on the global stage.

I won't see Italy's absence in the world cup for a long time as a major reason for the poor performance of their league, I think they only need to invest in the league, more promotions and then being ready to afford young foreign talents. Foreign talents sometimes has a higher influence in remote leagues because they come along with millions of fans boosting the league in a short time better than players from the grassroots. If more foreign talents start arriving there, their grassroot players will start gaining visibility that will also help them play in other top leagues around the world, gaining experience that they will then bring back to the national team and push the national team to the world cup in this modern era.

the problem is not that
Nowadays watching football has become a hobby for the rich, the costs have become practically absurd to watch a match at the stadium and now watching some matches on television has mind-blowing subscription costs.
it doesn't work like this..
In fact, broadcast revenue still remain the main revenue of serie a. It's also three times larger compared to the ticket sales of serie a whole season. So he's right serie a is lacking of marketing and promotion. Even the gap between serie a broadcast revenue is just getting thinner compared to the league 1.
This is proving how this league needs to put more effort in its marketing. The more people watching, the more money go to the league and clubs.

Financially I don't really know how Juventus is doing. I haven't read about any financial distress in a while, but didn't really follow the club anymore recently.

And money would not convince Guardiola because he comes from Manchester City. What could Juventus offer him to get him sign a contract? I don't think there is any way he would do that. Guardiola loves high potential teams with lots of financial resources and I don't think Juventus has any of these.

As for selling the club to the billionaire, I am not sure what the rules are or whether that option exists because Juventus is publicly listed, aren't they? I would have to look into the details now but I am too lazy to do that.

I don't think that Juventus wants to end on the back foot because in any case even if towards the end of the championship they lost the reins a bit, they still gave a bit of vitality back to this team, if the club decided to give them the team they require i think they could do really well, even if such a fluctuating Juventus is unable to find a fixed point from which to start again.

Juventus management seems not so serious in building a stronger team and it has been seen for several seasons and even I see that the strength of the Juventus team is not as strong as other Serie A teams so I will not put high expectations for Juventus in the next season especially we can see in this transfer market to start the next season as if the Juventus team is not so aggressive in bringing in quality players so it is very likely that they will remain the same as the previous seasons.
