I agree on that , playing against Bayern Munich is always a good measure where a Team is staying right now.
The problem and question with Wolfsburg and also other teams are , can they keep there performance for a long term and some time.

Actually, Bayern Munich is the only indicator for me, and in my opinion, if you win against them or get a game with them as a draw, then that team surely has what it takes to win against Bayern Munich, but if they only win or make a draw output 1 time against Bayern Munich they I think that could just be luck, for sure this will apply for all teams, Bayern Munich surely is an great indicator in seeing the increase of strength of a team,

I guess at this time it was not only luck for Union Berlin as they showed a good performance against other Teams and in the Cups also.
Lets see if they come back stronger again in the second half of the season.

@rahmad2nd while Bayern is definitely the favourites to win, but there’s an interesting change i.e. the new signing Sommer will instantly be making his debut and I believe that Leipzig player’s could feel tempted to try their luck since he may be jittery playing in such an important match on his debut. Also Bayern do have other injuries which could boost Leipzig confidence, but in my personal opinion Bayern should yet win it and I sincerely doubt that we’ll see a boring draw being played as both team’s would be keen to seal those 3 valuable point’s.

The winter break this year was definitely way to long. Of course the reason for the long break was the world cup in Qatar but still. I am not that interested into national team football so even though i watched most of the world cup games, for me a normal Bundesliga matchday is still more exciting than the world cup.

Pretty good odds. I hope there are more interesting changes before the match starts. both teams have performed quite well so far in the bundesliga so this match is predicted to be quite fierce. For Leipzig, this is a big enough challenge for them to maintain the winning streak that they got in their previous matches, can they break Bayern Munich winning trend.
