Bayer Munich has shown an outstanding performance during the first half of the season, but from the looks of things, they are not safe as you seem to exaggerate it. Bayer Munich is just 7 points from Frankfurt and union Berlin who stands in 4th and 5 positions in the table respectively, they are 6 points from Leipzig and 4 points from Freiburg who stands in 3rd and second position respectively. Just a match loss can draw them down to Freiburg, and the rest 3 teams will be ahead of them if they lose two matches.  Let's just hope that Bayern maintains their winning streak while they face their remaining matches, until then, they can be caught off guard.

In the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich's abilities are still better and bigger than several teams that are already in second, third and even fourth positions. Even though those outside the top five standings also need to be taken into account, they will not be very close to the championship position because besides them being left behind in terms of points, Bayern Munich are also still much tougher in getting points in every game this season which is still can be repeated by Bayern Munich in the next match this season.

I agree, other teams in Bundesliga are not that tough, the only way they can compete with Bayern Munich is if Bayern performed poorly, Union Berlin, Leipzig and Dortmund cannot keep winning most of their matches, so I would that they have a chance to fight with Bayern Munich only if they Bayern lost a lot of easy points.

Union Berlin made a really good start but they were so inadequate to maintain a good effort later on. They don't have a very impressive squad of course but they had a really good team spirit at first. It is always difficult to resist Bayern Munich's pressure but Union Berlin just gave the lead to them by themselves actually.

Because they started a terrible form and it lasted very long. It was too difficult for them to keep the lead in the meantime. From now on they can at least fight for top 4. It isn't impossible as long as they make the same effort at the beginning of the season.

They would be more realistic to think of Champions League next season than win Bundesliga. Because in Bundesliga, winning it means they will have to beat Bayern Munich and Dortmund. It is not easy to beat either Bayern and Dortmund in Bundesliga especially Bayern in a long season.

They usually can win a match, a few matches but they fail a battle to Bayern Munich.

Surprises from Union Berlin, Leipzig and Frankfurt are good for Bundesliga because it makes a league more exciting. Bundesliga actually needs more clubs like those ones to become a more competitive league.

Union Berlin has been a team that mostly has been playing ins 2nd Bundesliga and the fact that they were leading the 1st Bundesliga for sometime it didn't mean anything for me,I was expecting them to go down further in the standings,I saw their going down since seeing their performance in Europa League where they lost against a team from Belgium,Royale Union and Belgium has somewhat a weaker league than the Bundesliga.

I would be very careful when placing a bet on Union Berlin despite them playing against Hoffenheim while Hoffenheim being down in the standings,the odds are already 2.10 for Union Berlin that is playing at home meaning it won't be that easy.

Things are going on pretty well for Frankfurt team this season. They are managing the Bundesliga and Champions League very well at the same time. This was something that I wasn't expecting to see honestly. They are like Newcastle's Bundesliga version in the league now.    It isn't easy for this kind of average teams to deal with the domestic league and a much bigger tournament like Bayern Munich in a solid way. I wonder what their secret behind doing this is now. 

It must be of course due to a strong bond among the players above all else. Oliver Glasner is doing a pretty good work with his strategies also. Because they were great last season also and they have even leveled up by this season. Good team effort is really like the medicine of this kind of teams that don't have a squad full of world star players.

Certainly having a good bond amongst team members does so much to improve team's performance and strengthen good  team work, same scenerio we witnessed in the English Premier league when Liecester City won the epl with average players who were able to get the job done. I believe that should be the reason for Frankfurt's outstanding form this season but I still have doubts that they can hold up until the end of the season.

Basically this season, if competing teams like Dortmund have a better and more consistent performance, then I believe Dortmund will be able to have a big chance to end Bayern Munich's dominance. But unfortunately, when Bayern Munich's performance has declined this season, what has happened is that competing teams like Dortmund have also experienced a decline in performance that is even worse.
With a result like that, of course, Bayern Munich will again take over the top of the Bundesliga standings for sure, and when Bayern Munich has returned to the top position, of course it will be more difficult for other teams to take over the top position.

I'm sure, if at the beginning of the season it was Dortmund who were at the top of the Bundesliga standings, and not Union Berlin who managed to become the team at the top of the Bundesliga standings. Then it is very possible, currently Dortmund is still at the top of the Bundesliga standings.
Because Union Berlin is basically not a team that competes in the Bundesliga title race from previous seasons, so it's natural that in the end Union Berlin will return to the position they should be in.

At least, Union Berlin made a difference even if it was just a few weeks. their work ethic is extraordinary, even with mediocre players. they played their matches with enthusiasm and hard work, and unfortunately their struggle had to be stopped coupled with a fairly busy match schedule. in the end, Union Berlin slipped and had to settle for 5th place in the Bundesliga standings. December is coming to an end, and the Bundesliga will soon be rolling again. I doubt Union Berlin will be able to improve their game again. in fact, to maintain its ranking in the Bundesliga standings must be paid with hard work. IMO, most likely Union Berlin's ranking will be overtaken by Dortmund. in fact, I'm quite optimistic, Dortmund will finish in the top four until the end of this season, provided they don't sell some of their core players.

Bayern is going all for their 32-second Bundles league title. Last season, the won with 8 points, with Dortmund second on the table. This season, I don't just expect Bayern to lift the title, but this time win with not less than 15 points above which ever club finishes second. Union Berlin lost their chance of getting a close competition with Bayern. The highest the can go is secure a spot in the top four that is if they can else the play in the Europa next season.

It seems like that there will be no competitor anymore for bayern munich. Bayern will be buying some new players include new goal keeper as a replacement for neuer temporary and another one that can play like many which has been facing injury. Imagine what will happen if Bayern leave the Champions League at the 1/8 final stage? The questions is will bayern lose? It's caused by bayern is very strong right now. You can't sure if bayern will be facing lose streak. I don't even think if such thing gonna happen with bayern. Beyrn's performance is quite consistent at this moment. I don't even think freiburg can pass bayern easily even some of main players played for bayern already injured. Bayern will face leipzig and that may give freiburg chance to be even closer with bayern as long as bayern will lose against leipzig

It's been more than a decade that Bayern Munich have dominated the Bundesliga, that's what has made a lot of speculation that they will be champions again this season even though there is no significant difference in the point margin between their competitors. We saw how Bayern Munich returned to the top of the table after they dropped slightly at the start of the season. They could calmly shift the team that was between them. I have that same instinct but at some point, I feel 4 points ahead of Freiburg is not good enough to rate them champions already. Freiburg has not lost at home since the beginning of this season, and if they continue with such a record, I won't be surprised to see them catch Bayern Munich off guard because currently, Bayern Munich already has 4 key players on serious injuries but Freiburg in the other side is Fit. Knowing that football can produce any outcome at any time, I think Bayern still need much winning consistency to fence in their top flight in Bundesliga.

I asked about Schalke 04 which is bottom right now. The reason is they just returned from the second caste in Germany after the previous season they were relegated. They are actually a mid-table clan that can provide competition there. They even became a club that fought over tickets to play in Europe 6/7 last year (if I'm not mistaken). But now their differences are very visible, they have not been able to improve their performance to compete even tighter at least in the mid-table.
This season they have only collected 9 points from the 15 matches they have made in the Bundesliga. They are 5 points adrift of the safety limit of the relegation zone, it is very difficult for them to boost their current position.
