This week again there are important matches that could be decisive for the course of the league. The first match is freiburg-bayern Munich and the second is dortmund-union berlin. Both matches will be between the top 4 teams. Many things will change after these matches. Both the teams in the championship race and maybe leipzig will move up to the 4th place to go to the champions league.

These are not Bundesliga games, but German Cup matches. Therefore, they will not affect the standings in any way. Although they should indeed be interesting because they are between the leaders of the Bundesliga. By the way, Bayern will face Freiburg twice in a row, today and in four days in the Bundesliga. But they also have a game against Manchester City in the Champions League soon, so I'm not sure Bayern will take any chances against Freiburg.

You are right. Both teams will play with little interest since it's a cup match, but a win from the match will help update their confidence in Bundesliga. Even though Bayern still have tough matches in a row awaiting them, I don't think they will pneumatic with Leipzig. I would guess that Dortmund will have two options about this game. Either they are going to get back the points they lost last week and will want to be even better than before, basically be hyped about the game, or they are going to have a low morale due to losing last week and not be playing with their usual 100% and they will end up losing this and be even further behind which would be a terrible tragedy for them.

I think psychology is the most important part right now, not tactics, not which player will play, it is going to be the morale of the team. Because if they are happy and want to win, they should have no trouble beating Union Berlin at all.

Well I don't think Bayern Munchen not winning so far when 75 minutes of the game have passed in DB Pokal against Freiburg which is just 4th or 5th in the standings and it means you cannot rate Bayern Munchen to win at home at 1.18 as this is simply not logical and I know that Bayern is the huge favorite and most likely they will win the game but still how can the bookies rate 1.18 when first place is playing against 4th place,they don't do it with PSG for example in Ligue 1 and both teams dominate their respective leagues so I don't know how these bookies determine odds.It is interesting that Bayern is not winning at 1.18 odd and it reminds me the game of Bayern vs Koln which ended 1-1 with an odd of 1.15 and that is why betting on such low odds is never recommended.

What a start for Frankfurt in the DFB Pokal. Kolo Muani with 2 goals in 93 seconds and the second one was done amazing by Muani. The goalkeeper left the box for a moment but ran back and then at full speed the perfect lob was played.

When I see Frankfurt playing like this I am puzzled that they have had so many problems in the Bundesliga recently. They play great soccer right now and Berlin doesn't stand a chance at all thus far. It is still not too late to comeback, but it doesn't look that way for now.

In my view, Eintracht Frankfurt this season is an unstable team but even though Eintracht Frankfurt is unstable, the reality is that Eintracht Frankfurt can still achieve good results too. So, if in the quarter-final match at the DFB Pokal Eintracht Frankfurt can win and manage to beat Union Berlin, for me that is a natural result.

After all, maybe Union Berlin is also focusing more on performance to be able to finish in third place in the Bundesliga. But regarding this match which has reached half time with a 2-0 defeat, I think Union Berlin will still be able to reply to goals in the second half but to be able to turn things around I think it will still be difficult.

No team would ever neglect the DFB Pokal. It is similar to the FA Cup and as far as I know no coach would give their best players a break or focus less on those games because there is an important game in the league. Union Berlin just wasn't Union Berlin today and Frankfurt's offense was so strong that I wondered how they could not win seven games in a row in all competitions now. I think Haaland is the best striker in the world right now. Because he was at his best when he was at Dortmund. Since then, Haaland's performances have been world-class when he joined Manchester City. Haaland is now the heart of Manchester City.

Right now if you look at Erling Haaland's stat he got 28 goals this season for the Premiers League, next to the players of Manchester City was Phil Foden that got 9 goals pretty much Erling Haaland is still young so he can still go the distance with his performance he can still improve and has a long way ahead of him, he can also catch up to Robert Lewandowski right now, but despite this Manchester City is not really relying much on him for me he is a secret weapon for them if they needed a high output on gaols,

I suspected that there would still be dismissals of coaches. But Stuttgart was not at the top in my list. It is a bit unusual that a coach who was only hired 120 days ago is already being dismissed. But t is understandable after the performance.
Last season they have finished at place 15 at the last matchday. Before they were at place 16.

I don't really believe in the final result of this match but in fact I have to admit that Bayern Munich did not play well enough in the match even though they had taken the lead earlier through a goal scored by Upamecano but Freiburg played pretty well by being able to equalize fast.

the first defeat for tuchel after he succeeded in the first match when he beat dortmund. a pressure will always come and this is where it starts. I also consider this defeat as a dramatic defeat because they had to struggle in 90 minutes but the defeat came in extra time at the end of the game. Bayern Munich will return to face Freiburg in the future, I think this will be interesting to watch again.

I will never believe that Dortmund can fall out of the top 4, I can believe that they will lose to Union Berlin, but for them to be overtaken by three teams at once, something incredible must happen.

Bayern Munich is so unpredictable these days. They did win against Dortmund. But they lost against Freiburg which they really shouldn't have in my opinion. I know it was a DF-Pokal competition match. But it was a quarter final match and Bayern Munich should have won.

Dortmund is supposed to be the biggest competition for Bayern Munich. But whenever Bayern Munich is not playing worse, Dortmund is almost never in the equation for the title race. So of course in this competition for the title race, Bayern Munich is going to be ahead of Dortmund.

I assume most people expected Bayern victory. That was unexpected to see Bayern losing this game and as you said few days from defeating Dortmund which is better than Freiburg.

Admitted or not this is the consequence if changed coach in the middle of competition and there always be bad impact for the team and Bayern players still adapted to Tuchel strategy but lets see their performance for the next upcoming matches whether Tuchel can improved Bayern performance or not

Bayern needs to say goodbye to treeble winners this season. It's so disgusting to see how bayern was leading the match with so many ball possessions and goal attempts but it's always losing against a team that played fully defensive. I do know that if the penalty was sending off bayern from DFB pokal. That's a very bad result that was achieved by tuchel since he was coming back to the bayern. I meant if bayern has a tradition that will always be winning DFB pokal at least one time for 3 years but this time bayern never won DFB pokal for three years in row. This is an unacceptable result for the bavarians.

actually it was a very natural thing when Thomas Tuchel had just handled Bayern, of course he needed time to be able to adapt and he even succeeded in convincing many people in the first game against Dortmund, but that doesn't mean that proves that he will be able to consistently continue this trend.

Bayern's elimination was indeed very disappointing but that's football and a change of coach during the middle of the season always has a bad impact on a team, now Bayern feels it.

it has always been the case that the dfb cup had its own laws, that's true.
but what's also true is that in the past it wasn't a problem at all for bayern munich. the club has actually always been able to live with and deal with the triple burden very well and has been in the cup final 8 times in each of the last 13 years.
