The beautiful game of football is really full of surprises. Just few days ago Bayern Munich won the game against their arch rival Borussia Dortmund in the bundesliga when I never thought they would, today they are beaten by Freiburg at Alianz Arena. Although, Freiburg has been having a fantastic campaign this season but I never saw the defeat coming. Their last outing, they were beaten by Leverkusen on penalties as Leverkusen were crown winner of the trophy. Maybe luck is smiling on them again with another chance. Kudos to Freiburg.

Freiburg is not a bad team, they really know how to fight.
We can say that Bayern was a little unlucky in the match. They wouldn't have lost this game if it wasn't for the last minute penalty, the defense made a mistake. Of course, however, it is a bit interesting that they did not score a goal, when I looked at the quality of attack in the previous match, I thought that they would score 3-4 goals in this match as well.

Also, nobody expected an easy win for Bayern. Freiburg is playing a strong season and in cup games everything is possible, this was just proven in the last match.

I am actually happy that not everything is already running perfectly for Bayern, hopefully this translates to the Bundesliga as well so that Dortmund has a small chance maybe.

Lol, I didn't think of like that when I read it but when you say so, yeah it does kind of look like that lol. I do think Bayern game against City got a bit harder though, that's a different topic and I would agree with that.

It's not that it wasn't hard before, it was always hard, but it doesn't mean that we are not going to end up with anything worse than that after a while normally, normally the level of how hard it is should have stayed the same, but got a little bit harder and there is a difference there. I believe that we shouldn't really end up getting involved with that type of talk though, it is going to end up being a bit hard to bet on it anyway.

That last minute goal by Freiburg really devastated Bayern Munich and Bayern Munich didn't have much time left to answer that unfortunately.

Bayern Munich don't have a good luck in the DFB Pokal tournament for like three seasons actually. The last winners are Leipzig and Dortmund. In those seasons Bayern Munich couldn't even make it to the quarter-finals. Maybe they don't care about this tournament that much anymore. Right now their main focus is on the Bundesliga and Champions League of course. Winning even one of these titles would be a good achievement for the team. But winning the Champions League title would be more special of course.

They always, definitely every single year have the target to win the triple. It has never been different for over a decade now. Thomas Tuchel is one coach who I really have so much confidence in because he knows how to make his team play exactly the way he wants. The manner at which he influences the mentality of his team is another factor that stands him our from other managers. The tie against Guardiola's City won't be an easy one because the english club will also want to win the the trophy that has eluded them since the creation of the club. But regardless of the quality of players in the City set up I'm still backing Tuchel to beat them

Unbelievable wining from freiburg. Bayern are still in shock of their lost. While freiburg are extremely happy for their success lately. The last munits penalty was like a final whistle in the world cup.
If freiburg had this strong defence from the beginning of the season, they would have been in a better position than where they are now.
The goal from Hofler was supper extra ordinal.
The both team did absolutely well but freiburg added much effort to ensure their win.

Yesterday's match loss was to Bayern Munich and today's match defeat is to Dortmund not qualifying for the next round. That's surprising to say not seeing 2 big team's not making it to the semi-finals.
