Leverkusen have kind of increased their chance for top 4 mathematically. The gap is 4 points with Stuttgart thanks to Dortmund's beating them last week.

However the thing is that it isn't the only obstacle for Leverkusen to get over... Hoffenheim are also right ahead of them in the standings.

Leaving 2 teams behind won't be easy as a result. Especially while they are having an inconsistent form.

I just checked now and the actual record is that Leverkusen has won only two of their last five games. they have drawn the rest meanwhile Dortmund at the second position have won 4 of their last five games and has lost only one. if we are to compare based on the position on the table and the performance in the last five games, Dortmund will be in a better position. But since both teams are not weak, any team can actually win this fixture

This German championship doesn't stimulate me much anymore. i have to say that i always like to follow it and I'm very passionate about it but i can't see this challenge being very important anymore.
