Muenchen has an advantage in the first leg because they can rest several key players against Mainz. Unlike PSG they haven't yet secured the title in their domestic league even though they are currently top of the table. They still need a win to secure the title.

They are currently 15 points away from Dortmund and in my opinion that is a huge point difference between the first and second position. bayern Munich can choose not to take their remaining games seriously and just focus more of their energy on the Champions league. They are currently in the best in their league and they have occupied the first position for a long time, this says a lot about them.

For now Bayern Munich remains infallible with their dominance in the Bundesliga, I do not think there is going to be any other team that will come to strip them of the dominance soon, the likes of Dortmund and other top teams can if they improve but so far, they do not look like they are having the capacity or team depth now to handle all of that.

Your prediction was correct. Munich was not taking today’s match against Mainz in Bundesliga Round 31 seriously at all. The first half ended with Mainz having scored three goals, where Bayern hadn’t managed to score a single goal. Bayern Munich had 73% ball possession in the first half. But they didn’t register a single shot on target. And it's proves that Bayern Munich isn’t taking this match seriously as they could actually have played seriously to make sharp penetrations into Mainz’s defense to create goals.
