Going by what you just said, it means clubs like Atletico Madrid that lost two UCL finals to Real Madrid should be referred to as a dumb team, Borussia Dortmund also that lost a UCL finals to Bayern Munich should called a dumb team because they failed to achieve their expectations as at when due? team like Arsenal that lost to Barcelona should also be called a dumb team? there are several other suitable words you could have used that doesn't necessarily need to sound derogatory or insulting to the team, if you had used the word "mediocre" it would have made more sense.

Based on the poor campaign Wolfsburg had this season it was obvious they were going to get relegated but I believe they would still find their way back to the bundesliga because that's what they have been doing for the past two seasons, I think the problem of this club has to do with leadership because there seems to be no form of consistency in this club anymore, several years ago they were not just competing for the title, but you would see them playing in the UCL and at the highest level until they began to decline gradually.

Wolfsburg is a top name in the Bundesliga and even as they don’t get to win the Bundesliga trophy, they’ve been doing quite great in the competition and making sure they maintain a good position at every end of the season. This should be their worst season for the first time, being relegated is really not something amusing and it even demoralizes the team more. Although this is not the time to be demoralised but a time to actually stay strong and fight their way back to the main league because staying too long in the division 2 can depreciates the strength of the team until they find it very hard to come back to the main league.

Wolfsburg lost, and that is what happened. I am not a fan of them because they wasted all their effort, and in the first place, they would not have gone this far because it has to be with the kind of energy they have been putting in, but Wolfsburg actually did not do badly from the way back. And they will know that next time they will know where they will need to cover. Relegation is not something every club wants, but they know the right thing to do, and one thing I know for sure is that a wise club will not want to be beaten twice, so they have actually learned from their mistake, and they won't want to take any chances next season.

It is lack of investment from the team management, they feel relaxed and think that football is still in the position they used to know it which far beyond that, it is more of investment than just game, and now only teams that invested some money are making it in football that’s why oil money based companies are buying football teams because you need money to run a team right now.

Wolfsburg’s reputation as a big team deserve to be maintained, but going to relegation is never a good thing for the team because they will hardly survive that place unless if they sign more players, and leaving the team without signing more players will make the existing players leave.

Some teams in the League 1 and Laliag also failed to invest and they are now facing the other side of football even though most of them did not get relegated. Lyon, Marseille, and other big teams in the league 1, they are not more relevant like before all because they are not putting in money in the team anymore and it is showing in their performance.

Wolfsburg used to be one of those German teams we enjoy watching their game especially against strong opponents like Bayern Munich back then. So many football stars and legends once donned the green and white jersey of the club. Their relegation to the second division is something I didn't see coming at the start of the season. But it's happened already, I just hope that the club management will be able to facilitate a fast return to the top flight. It'll be more painful to see them play in that division beyond the end of the next season.

Big ammount of Premier League teams in the next season of european competitions, this is good in one side but is also bad in other let me elaborate this, if a lot of teams has to play in europe their players are gonna be much more tired and we are gonna start to see a lot more of rotations in some teams that could end in some not so good performances in the Premier League itself since some of this teams are not big and doesnt have two reliable teams between starters and subs, but lets see how all this develop.

The Premier League is producing a lot of quality players and teams, which isn't bad. They dominate European competitions and are at a very high level. Before it was Italy, then it was Spain, but now England has the highest level of leadership in football. That's why the Premier League is setting the standard. I like it because that's how football is; as long as they maintain a good level, they deserve to be at the top.

Despite how strong a team might be when it comes to face another strong team the chance of winning is always 50/50, so we don't have to blame them that much, and besides Real Madrid as at then is not really the one we are seeing now, so I won't blame Athletico Madrid that much, because they were no the better team in those two occasions, so anyone calling any team a dumb team because they lost is actually wrong, like for instance had it been they won Real Madrid, would you have got the guts to refer to Real Madrid as a dumb team knowing how formidable they are as at then? In football nothing is impossible for a team that has consistently maintained its place in the top flight, but this season they were relegated. Wolfsburg was relegated from the Bundesliga for the first time since their promotion in 1997, which was certainly very painful. The crisis for Wolfsburg meant they couldn't survive in the Bundesliga, just as West Ham did in the Premier League.

In the play off, a do or die match Wolfsburg actually took an early lead in the second minute. However, Joakim red card in the 13th minute turned the tide and Paderborn made no mistake continuing to pressure Wolfsburg ultimately scoring two goals to secure the victory. This victory saw Paderborn join Schalke and Elversberg in promotion to the Bundesliga.

Wolfsburg I suppose should not really find it difficult coming back to the main league probably by the end of next season, but this is what you see with a team when their management is poor, it does not matter  the calibre of players they have or their quality, they will get to suffer such terrible fate because the place of management is very paramount to getting  the team to achieve anything, they should use this period to work on that.

There is enough proof running around in the Bundesliga now that it is tough to come back. The best example is probably Hamburger SV, but you could as well take Schalke 04 as an example. Both are huge clubs and have a long 1. Bundesliga history, but that didn't prevent them from getting relegated.

What happened to Tottenham is just beyond me. It's crazy, but they have some fundamental issues as well. It wasn't just this season, it has been going on for a while. The same applies to Wolfsburg.

Sometimes the fact of being relegated doesn't mean that it represents a defeat, no, because it may be that it works better for them to be in a lower league where for 1 season they have to do things very well to show that they can go up to the 1st, the Bundesliga is a competitive league, it has to keep only the best, Leverskun at one point won everything, they stayed well undefeated, if they can do it any team can, sometimes these relegation processes are necessary.

You’re right, sometimes getting relegated can help a team to improve their performance for where they used to be. Wolfsburg worst performance started since last three seasons, they finished the seasons below 10th place in the table, yet the management didn’t do anything about it to sign more quality players. The last time Wolfsburg had a best season in the Bundesliga was 2020/2022 season, when they finished fourth in the table and qualified for the Champions League. Since then they haven’t played in any of the European competitions.

Leverkusen won the title because they had the best manager last three seasons, and since the departure of Xabi Alonso from the club, they have been struggling to win their matches. Of course, every team has a chance to win the league, they need to improve the club standards with quality players, Wolfsburg will also struggle in the second division if they have to continue with these players.

Wolfsburg is a team that deserved to be relegated.
The Bundesliga is a fairly easy league for the top teams and Wolfsburg is one of those. It's strange to see them relegated like this, they really didn't need this, but next year they need to return to the top flight straight away.

Actually, it's a pity to see teams experiencing relegation, but in the name of competition, there must be a champion and there must be someone who is relegated so that the competition remains competitive and teams in other divisions can also experience playing in the first division, Wolfsburg is usually not that bad in the Bundesliga but for some reason their performance this season is very bad even though they initially avoided the red zone but their position is in 3rd place from the bottom which must compete in the final to fight for a place in the Bundesliga, it's a shame that Wolfsburg was defeated by a team in the 2nd division.

I think ATM is one team that has one of the most UCL participation counts on every season in the last decade but they've just being unfortunate in winning it just like their counterparts.

Why are you surprised, it's not something you should surprised though because they deform and it's happen not only team like Wolfsburg even stronger team have that problem in some seasons.

Meanwhile Wolfsburg are actually an experienced team too. They have been close to relegation a few times before but always managed to survive somehow. But this season felt different. Wolfsburg looked like a team with no experience at all, and mentally they already seemed hopeless long before the season ended.

IDK exactly when Wolfsburg nearly faced relegation the few times you mentioned, but they've never performed as badly as this season. Last season, Wolfsburg finished 11th in the league & if we go back even further in the 2023/24 season, they finished 12th. They have been in a complete mess this season, cannot be compared to any of the strong teams that have experienced a drastic performance decline.

I do not remember a time when they were ever better than Bayern, I am sure in the history of Bundesliga that must have happened, but I think they were just near the top at certain seasons, and that's it, and never were consistent at it, some years they did great, some years they did terrible.

The fact that they went down is a shame, I really hoped they would do fine and at least better than they did here, but they ended up losing, that's sad but in the end we are going to see them try again. Good news is Schalke is coming back next season, it has been a while, and they were missed.

Those who watched the Pederborn vs Wolfsburg match will not be at all surprised that Wolfsburg failed to qualify for the Bundesliga. Firstly, we have seen Wolfsburg's poor performance since the start of the Bundesliga. Wolfsburg have been at the bottom of the table since the start of the season due to a poor defense. And in the end they failed to qualify for the Bundesliga.

Wolfsburg managed to dominate the home match against Pederborn. But they can't score any goals. On the other hand, Pederborn played defensively in the first leg match. But in the home match of the second leg, Pederborn performed incredibly well. I saw the highlights. Although they won the match 2-1, Pederborn players controlled the entire match.
