I wonder how many years it will be before we see another exception like Leverkusen’s championship in the 2023–2024 season in the Bundesliga? It’s pretty hard to make a guess out of nothing, but I don’t think anyone other than Bayern Munich will win the title for at least 3 or 4 years. As we’ve always said, they’re in a league of their own. They might have been a team capable of reaching the Champions League final, but they lost to another finalist. In fact, their first match against PSG felt like a Champions League final. Looking back now, Leverkusen achieved something truly remarkable in the 2023-24 season.

Looking at Bayern Munich's current performance, the value of Leverkusen's championship win against them increases even more. Because Leverkusen, with a truly magnificent young squad, managed to overcome Bayern Munich and win the league championship that season. First of all, you need to understand that the first reason why the Ballon Dor was created was mainly to promote European football through the various leagues, there were times when the players who weren't from European countries weren't eligible to be nominated for the award and secondly, the World Cup and European Cup isn't played as often as the UCL hence the reason why the UCL and some top league are used as the yard stick to determine the winners.

Yes, but they should do something well every year. For me, this contest has become incredibly unbelievable; it's not the same anymore. I don't even want to watch it because it's all corrupt, everything revolves around money, around what benefits someone or some people. So the value of football is left out. Last year I did like Dembele's selection; in fact, if they were aware of the importance of football, Dembele should win it again.

It is painful that Borussia Dortmund are now so relaxed with taking second place in the German league which makes it so easy for Bayern Munich. In the last ten years, Bayern Munich has won nine of the Bundesliga league title which Bayer Leverkusen manged to put a pause to that and that lasted for only a season.

Borussia Dortmund has not always being this way because it has being a tough competition between these two teams back in the days during the time of Roberto Lewandowski, Marco Reus, Mario Gotze and the likes. How did the German league now become so easy that it is always certain who the league Champions would be?

Bayern Munich always amazes me and i must say that they will hardly move to help other teams rise to the Olympus, they will continue to dominate for a very long time, that's for sure, i also don't think there is any team that can do better than them, that's for sure, maybe in a while but not now that they are the best.

If Leverkusen or Dortmund can maintain their strong form and use their brains in the transfer market to attract the right players then they will be able to bite Bayern hard again. In that 2023/24 season we saw live evidence how Leverkusen single handedly broke Bayern's long winning streak. No matter how much Bayern is a powerful cub they are not an undefeated or invincible team.

Leverkusen worked very well last year, but they weren't able to handle the pressure, always having that pace and maintaining it until the end is very difficult, which is why many teams aren't able to go at that speed, i don't understand how you can do something like that, spending and investing in the market is certainly important.

Last season really favor Leverkusen i think is because they was still under the Xavi Alonso that’s why they performances went very well that last season. Because this season Leverkusen go through a lots which is where they where not able to handle their pressures, but may be next season they will try and make their performances much better than this season; that means if their manager can find solutions to their issues before next season.

Yeah, Bayern Munich wasn’t serious at that moment but when the season was coming to an end I can see that their performances is more better because even the way they play against the PSG in the Semifinal, I wasn’t expecting that they can perform in that way.

It does happen once in a while that an unexpected team will come up and win the league. However, honestly, I can't say that anyone really expected Leverkusen to become champions of the Bundesliga 2023/2024 competition. The team I was expecting, and still continue to expect, to win the league someday is Dortmund because they always build quality players. Although they often end up selling them, they usually replace them with other quality players again.I believe the season will come soon when Dortmund will break Bayern Munich's dominance in the Bundesliga and continue to compete strongly with them. A few years back, Dortmund's situation was similar to Arsenal's in the Premier League. They would start well, but in the end, they would never win the Bundesliga.

If they focus more on the Bundesliga, they will definitely win it without taking too much time. For a while now, from the way I view Dortmund, they seem to shift more of their attention to the Champions League than the Bundesliga. Dortmund don't actually lose the title in April or May. They lose it in the transfer window. They traded Gittens to Chelsea, and also recruited Fabio Silva as a replacement striker. The guy basically disappeared throughout the year. Three goals in 39 matches. The gamble didn't pay off.

I agree with you about the Champions League thing. It's a financial dependency, though. They really do have to have the European funds in order to keep the lights on at this level. Which is why they can't simply "focus on the Bundesliga" if they so desire.

In the meantime, Bayern's payroll is over twice theirs. You can scout brilliantly, develop wonderfully, do everything right, and still get outspent into irrelevance over 34 games.

I'd like to see Dortmund with both Haaland and Bellingham still for one more season. But that version doesn't exist and Dortmund isn't built to win titles. It is designed to create them for other clubs. Well, perhaps someday this changes. But nothing in the current structure suggests it will.

That's a pretty tough record to break, as going undefeated in a season is something that's difficult to achieve, as Leverkusen did that season. In the Premier League, as far as I can remember, a similar situation occurred with Arsenal going undefeated that season and emerging as title contenders. Unfortunately, after Leverkusen won the league and broke the record, no other team was able to stop Bayern Munich and even the following season, Bayern Munich continued to dominate due to their superior strength compared to other teams.

Yes, I think this is true that the league will be no more enjoyable if everybody knows the results before its end and Bayern Munich really make the league boring in this sense.

Yeah, you are right Bayern's dominance has ruined the real thrill of winning the league trophy for many football fans. Actually when a team is sitting at the top of the table with huge point lead over the rest at the start of the season there is no more suspense or doubt about who will be the current champion

However it would not be right to call the entire Bundesliga boring. The fight for Champions League ticket there and the death blow of small teams to escape the relegation zone are still at a dangerous level that I enjoy a lot. Anyway, I sincerely hope that the other clubs will keep Bayern under constant pressure so that the glory of the German league remains intact.

For many years, Bayern dominated this league; everyone knew which team would win the championship. Despite this, we continued watching the matches. It wasn't boring at all; there was always competition in the league. The excitement about which team would finish second continued. But this year wasn't such an exciting season. It wasn't hard to predict Bayern would win the championship. Dortmund also started the season as if they would finish second and continued that way. Previous seasons were more enjoyable; I didn't have much fun with the Bundesliga this year

Bayern Munich are doing just great with Kompany. This season was a peak for them in the Bundesliga considering breaking a goal record as well. Maybe they couldn't get what they wanted in the Champions League. But they are promising for that title too...

Yeah, it was a great season for Bayern, but now the question remains, where do they go from here? I mean they already have a great team, that did amazing, but they failed to win UCL, so the only goal left is UCL, but how do you get better with a team that is already great?

If they just try again, like make no changes, get no new players, sell nobody, exactly same squad, would you win? Of course not, many players are aging, hell Nueur is as old as my grandfather! Okay, maybe not, dude is still younger than me But you know what I mean.

Luis Enrique is the first coach who made PSG able to achieve success in the Champions League, he is truly the best coach of PSG at the moment, I myself am also amazed by his coaching system which makes his players play very tough even though from what I saw Luis Enrique did not do too much player overhaul and did not even have the ambition to recruit quality players but he was really able to build a strong performance. Bayern Munich which I initially really admired from the beginning because they looked very strong and thought they would win the UCL title actually disappointed me.

Luis Enrique is a coach who is very familiar with these competitions and knows his stuff when he wants to win he arrives at the cup in a very decisive way, they did very well in making that team and one thing comes to mind a bit, i will think badly, but, once they sent away mbappe the team managed to win, could it be a coincidence?

What Leverkusen experienced was a moment that you rarely see, because at that time Munich's performance was indeed in ruins, while Leverkusen had a coach who was at his best and recruited more effective players.. but after that their performance tended to decline and even this season they had to fight to maintain their position in the top 6. so the magical effect of Xabi and his players was so capable of boosting their performance, even making them unbeatable, but with Munich's current situation which is much stronger, I don't think that they will be a threat anymore, even other teams are like that.

They should've had a backup plan for Alonso, knowing that bigger club woukd come for him with how successful he was that season, the team declined again after Alonso left and some of players that made up that particular squad sold, maybe if they had improved the team amd hired a quality manager the team would've still challenged Bayern Munich even tough they don't win it again.
 They surprisingly went from a team that rose to glory and became fearful to a team struggling to compete,, that's why Bayern Munich would continue to do better than every team in their league cause heavily invest into the team so they'll maintain their success, others should learn from that.

It is impossible for any other team to break Bayern munich's dominance in the bundesliga. Leverkusen managed to become the champion in one season. But again, in the last two seasons, we have seen bayern munich's dominance and they  have become the champion quite easily.

Bayern Munich is a very rich club. If the ownership of a club changes in the bundesliga, or a club can create a large fund to build a strong squad, then only munich's worthy rival will be  created in the Bundesliga. Since munich is very rich , they build the strongest squad in the league every season. Other clubs are far behind at the beginning. If the bundesliga clubs do not  get rich owners, we will only see Munich's dominance every season.

At the point Dortmund saw they could make more money selling players they probably saw no reason chasing the title so hard, so if they can finish at the second position which will be considered a decent finish, for them, it is enough because they cans till realize some good money off selling players, except for recently that they seem to have slowed down on the sales of their young talents, they were making really good money form the sales of players who go ahead to be fantastic out there. This is what i am supposing had made them settled for their position but i believe they will start to chase wining the title soonest.
