What you're saying is true. If Bayern don't buy new players this season it won't be a problem. The players in their current squad are needed by other teams meaning their quality is as good as players who often start in the lineup or those who often sit on the bench. However every team has weaknesses.

Moreover their performance so far has been quite good in domestic and other competitions but they need to know that they have always failed to win the UCL. This indicates that there are areas they need to improve to navigate next season and improve even more. They need to think about how they can go further in the UCL next season. In domestic competitions they can certainly easily win the league but how? The way they also have to be tougher in the UCL competition next season is by looking at the players who appeared in the World Cup so that their weak points can be covered by the presence of players they buy after the World Cup.

Everything you said about Alvarez and his flexibility in Real Madrid's attack is true but don't be deceived by that stunt Papa Pérez pulled, Real Madrid don't need Alvarez and Atletico Madrid are not ready to sell him yet that's why they rejected the offer immediately and even debunked news of having negotiations with Barcelona concerning Alvarez.
 Pérez felt Barcelona would step up their bid for the player so he decided to ruin the deal before it gets head by sending a bid to Atletico for the player, knowing that it would increase his price of hinder Barcelona from attempting to sign him. If Real Madrid need a supporting striker, they won't go for a top-tier when they already have Mbappé, they'll focus more on a right winger but not Alvarez.

One big factor is that even Olise does not seem like he wants the Madrid deal and so Madrid may be getting the message already and do not want to further engage but they know and understand how valuable he can and will be for them if he were to be on their team. Let us see how the summer goes, it may even come up  as late transfer as we do see with others sometimes.
