To be fair UCL is a different beast, the Bayern Munich who had a record breaking season and won the league with the highest amounts of goal scored in a single season, ended up losing at semi finals for UCL.

The champions League can't be compared to league matches that's why you see big teams perform so well in the league but on getting to the champions League they will be eliminated. You will not blame Bayern Munich for been able to afford these players to strengthen their team, they have got what it takes and they will not want to settle because others could or cannot afford it, mind you, they are also going to be playing in the champions league too, so the preparations are usually with the champions league in sight too and not just the domestic league domination.

I do agree that it is not going to be anything big, like they do not need to get five new players for the starting lineup, of course that is not what I mean. But they are not good enough to win the UCL as we have seen. While they need to improve only a bit, not a lot, they still need to improve and that is very crucial and important.

I agree that it is not going to be something that will take some time, but it can happen and we should be careful without a doubt.
