Using multiple wallets is the best thing for someone who has too much coins.
Cold storage is the best and for the web wallet i prefer blockchain.info, I am using for the moment coinbase too but pissed with their security measures every time logging in... And its Android wallet isn't that good.

You hit a good point on multiple wallets.  Not to put all your eggs or BTC in one basket.   And cold storage is best by far.

I highly suggest if you have the means start with a fresh install of OS.  Go get antivirus software, some anti malware software.  Then make the cold storage, make backups.  Then blow it all away and start with fresh OS again.  That is about as secure as you can get.

You should better to start to use cold wallet or desktop wallet. Use a web/online wallet is just for store small amount, just for spend daily needs.
Especially blockchain wallet, recently they have an issue with their security.

Even though good wallets they are still not the safest.  Look into cold wallets, they win every time on safety.

So a piece of paper could be one of the most secure wallets? Answer is yes if done properly.

for me i use blockchain.info wallet because it provides a lot of security options (and you MUST use them) and lots of people are using it
i know that the lastest downtime (2 weaks ago i think) was very very bad for users but i still love it  Cheesy

I have bitcoin wallet in blockchain.info from the start and i love them. The only thing i don't like about it is for small amount of bitcoin transactions they take fees of 10000 santoshi. Overall it is safest and best wallet for me.

You need to check Electrum, the security features is more than blockchain wallet and AFAIK there are not any serious issue about Electrum wallet.

In order to have your btc address in xapo you have to reveal your identity!
And for coinbase are you sure they don't take any fee? I am using their Android wallet and i did paid fees for 2 transactions!

No one willing put a huge 5btc in online wallet.
Would be better put it in offline wallet like mycelium or electrum.
The online wallet company owe your private key so it is absolutely not safe. For small amount is okay to use online wallet.

I'm in 400,000 euros debt , dont help me , i rather die

I used to download the core and running armory but ever since i started using electrum, there is no turning back. It's fast simple plus it also gives you the control on the settings.

I have been using blockchain.info as my wallet  even until now it serves me well.
Electrum is also a good wallet you can use, fast and easy.

I'm still using blockchain.info to receive my bitcoin earnings  then I send the BTC to my xapo wallet. I feel safer there.

Sorry one clarification. You think that xapo is more safe then blockchain.inf? Could you please list why the first wallet is more secure than the second. I have the opposite impression. For more the owners of xapo (if I remember right) had problems with their dependents about the payment. So people that don't pay the salary are more secure than other that have testify their professionalism since years...
