Best Bitcoin wallets according to me... - Bitcoin Core: Preliminary and basic wallet but you need to download the full 40GB or more node before using it for transactions.
- Online wallet: Coinbase Vault (not the primary wallet), but you'll have to wait 48 hours before transferring the funds into the primary wallet and then using it for transactions. Pretty hectic right?
- Offline wallet/Cold Wallet: Physical crypto-coins or Paper wallets generated from a virus-free and offline computer.
The wallet I use for daily transactions: Ledger Wallet HW.1 I think paper wallet and hardware are two I would suggest using most. For long term storage they really are good ideas. Both you are the owner of the private key... so you own it. It makes me feel much more safe and sleep better at night. I hate hearing when someone say's they have a lot in online wallet. Worst is the ones they have no access to private key on online hot wallets. Coinbase with insurance is a little different I would agree.

I used around 5-6 wallets including both online and in-computer programs wallets and IMO blockchain is very good but has the issue of being offline sometimes and has all the disadvantages of using a site rather than a system (which takes allot of BTC advantages), Multibit is fast, easy to use and a computer wallet and IMO it was the most comfortable to use than armory and the default bitcoin client.

You can try OKLINK. I think it better when Blockchain.io down.

Nope that is best than other wallet. Other wallet companys are trying make out with their feature and they are adding some other feature with that. this is a case actually. Now blockchain.info is in-progress for making some advance feature more than two factor authentication and trying for more transparency.

I used blockchain for saving my bitcoin from faucet, and for transaction to other's i use xape. i really love both of them.
Well i consider blockchain safer than xapo (if you meant that). Both of them are web/online wallets and xapo as far as i know use multi signature. But one thing with xapo that i don't like is that they do not provide the private key.

But one thing with xapo that i don't like is that they do not provide the private key. I would consider doing it the other way round. There are a lot of dust transaction accumulated from faucet. Xapo does pay the transaction fees for it's users which would help the users by cutting the huge amount of transaction fee they have to pay due to the size. Multisignature isn't always secure. It is always thought to be more secure but in reality, it is the same if it's done incorrectly. Xapo does not allow signed message either, I would prefer coinbase instead.

i use circle wallet everyday its safe also have good feature there Did they insure your coins? What if somebody hack them? If you don't have insurance all your coins might go away. You need to protect your coins yourself. Don't trust online services.

I like the Coinbase wallet, but I use it mostly because I don't have a computer that would be good for running a full node. It would be *great* if you could run the Bitcoin full node because Bitcoin really needs more of them.

if you are using coinbase just because you dont own a computer, i think it is better to use paper wallet or blockchain.info wallet for you to have full control over your private keys and coins and your money will be much safer than trusting a 3rd party site coz they can be shutdown in rare cases

Read through their insurance they have for overall if they gave private key's it would be easier to possibly lose coins. It's meant to be new person friendly. And if website has a hack, not one user getting hacked but truly the website/company caused it then it should be insured. It's never been tested so you never know but they hold a insurance most dont. Yes having private key is great, but make sure cold storage if counting on this. Getting paper wallet off blockchain.info is not really a cold wallet as it's also online.

Coinbase is a well known registered company that has been around for many years, they are safer than Blockchain.info. However, Coinbase does not allow transactions associated with certain things like gambling. In this case, SPV wallets like Electrum and Multibit are a much better choice in comparison. The HD seeds allow users to use their wallet on several other platform which provides the portability that Blockchain.info and Coinbase provides.
