Private key is like the golden ticket to your holdings.  If someone has you private key they can import into wallet and access your bitcoins.   So this is why back up being secure is so important.

private key = key of your safe box, where inside there is your coins

this si the best analogy, in reality there is no coin inside anything and any coins are actually not movable, you just have access to it with the correct private key

i prefered you to don't use same password at your blockchain.info and your email setting
and don't forget to use 2fa

My first wallet also Blockchain.info and I have been using it for three years and of course I also use google authenticator(2FA) to be safer

I also use that and for me, its the best online btc wallet to have. In my account, there was like 3FA because you need the signature, password, and a code from my mobile device.

It looks like you only use online wallets. Any online wallet is secure. Don't use online wallets for big amount of BTC's. Install Bitcoin Core, Armory or Electrum to your pc. If you don't have private keys you don't have BTC.

Best wallet in my opinion is Mycellium wallet for mobile phones and Electrum wallet for desktop. They are fully secure just like a cold wallet and you can lock them with strong passphrase so that nobody can compromise them without knowing both the keys and passphrase.

And best of the best wallet is Trezor. It is the most secure of all.

I feel the same blockchain wallet to be the best. After using this I have never tried for some alternate wallet. This is very good with all facilities and required security. Many has suggested Xapo too, So I would have a try over it and learn its features and advancements which may help me.

I have only ever had a coinbase.com account/wallet and I have to say it does everything I need it to and I'm very pleased with the service. I'm able to secure it with 2 factor authentication, as well as have the ability to buy and sell bitcoin. When selling, the USD goes directly into the bank account you have connected to the coinbase account. I don't think it gets much better, I recommend them highly.

every wallet have their advantages..
im prefer using blockchain.info, although using fees but we can determine how much the fee that will be used.

XAPO is just a temporary wallet for me. When I logon my account there, I will immediately send the funds that my account have to my personal btc wallet. And it is also not recommended for daily transactions.

I never tried another wallet, for me the best wallet is blockchain.info, I've been long enough to use it, although there are some problems but the balance is always safe.

Anyone using it should have 2 factor turned on.  This is very important as without it a simple keylogger could compromise your account.

At least 2 factor makes it much harder to compromise.  Keep in mind blockchain.info is a hot wallet.

i can't decide who was the best wallet,online wallet is so many,and i use coinbase and blockchain,i think so far they are the best,because i never try other,but xapo also good,and hardware wallet also hard to find who is the best,but i just recomend trezor.

better to use full version wallet where you can back up and restore your private key like blockchain.io, mycellium, etc.

coinbase is biggest company in bitcoin world but we can't predict in future maybe coinbase will be shutdown his service
