So, my four units are supposedly on the truck for delivery today... But they also were supposed to have been delivered yesterday but they were held up by customs, who wasn't working...

Now they are showing that there is a duty due because customs or UPS classified them as an 'power supplies greater than 500W'

...

No end to the inanity from every party involved.

sorry that they got you for customs fees.

what did they charge?

I'm liking the S7 a whole lot so far.

Obviously warranty concerns are not an issue for you!   Cool

Please let us know if you miner is able to run stably at that clock speed.  Assuming that it stays stable, what are your ambient temps and are you able to determine the draw in watts at that clock?

I'm happy to announce I got my order of S7's today!

Order date: 30.08
Payment confirmed: 06.09

UPS delivered on time as usual. I must say I'm very pleased with UPS and their service, DHL can suck it!

Properly wrapped by Bitmain:

Seems like they were stressed when packing these, didn't even have time to wash their hands before handling it: Tongue

Testing and configuring, one by one:

I had some trouble with my router, didn't offer them DHCP leases properly. 5 of them got an IP straightaway, but it didn't show in my routers DHCP leases list.
The last one I reset to factory settings by using the reset button/pin-hole to the right of the ethernet-port. This might have been unnecessary, probably my router that fucked up.

I can recommend this tool to scan your network for devices, handy if you get a buggy DHCP leases list, like I did.
http://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/

Power draw from 1x S7 running on Bitmain's APW3-12-1600-B2. This is better than expected.

PS: I got 235V measured at the socket before turning on the miners. It drops to around 230 when they are all running.

Out with the old, in with the new. S1 and S7 size comparison:

I will be sending my S1 boards to sidehack if he decides to make those pod-miners.

All 6 miners seems to be in good condition, clocked at 600Mhz as default.

They are all running at 4.8X TH/s at the moment, this makes me super happy, I was too worried about this! Grin
The running temperature is fine, seems to run at 40-45C given 10C ambient/input temp. Only one of the miners got proper input airflow at the moment, the others are running at 65C. (Does not seem to affect TH/s)
When I fix the airflow I'm pretty sure they will all run around 40-45C. Will be interesting to see how they will run when winter sets in, and the input/ambient temp will be -10 to -20 (Hopefully ^^)

And finally, here's a short video to demonstrate the noise it makes. I have a feeling my neighbours might complain.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICS22_VVlSg
I'm currently running 5 out of 6 miners. I need a new PSU for the last one.

Edit:

This is how they look in Minera dashboard:

Seems like the HW-error counter is WAY off.

Eligius pool doesn't show anything but hashrate afaik!
Look at the Antminer dash pic from the post above, it shows HW error @ 0.02%? Or am I reading it wrong?

I'm averaging 5017GH/s after 3 hours at 625MHz. Very solid product, great work bitmain!

I'll be setting up my 240 power meter setup next to get some readings. I may be getting close to this PSU's limit at 625MHz, so I'll continue testing after i can monitor everything properly. Going to keep upping the OC until I find it's limit.

Would be interesting to know what kind of J/GH you get at diff clocks!

All four of my units are hashing at ~4.8Gh/S stock clocked from the factory at 600 mhz.

While I have complaints about the level communication from Bitmain, and the "current" reduced pricing offered from their website, they delivered machines in spec, in the timeframe provided, at the price then agreed, and as long as they remain stable, I have no quarrel  or claim with them.

My boxes all had the same Blue "D" Sticker as in torepia's pic.

Also noted they say "Antminer S7 Submodel S7_4.86" on a small sticker bearing the model number... Does anyone with low hashing units have a different sticker?

Good luck to all those still waiting for their orders and happy hashing.  Smiley

I wish.. I don't even want anything Antmain anymore. Even if it were 10x efficiency, on principle I would give them the middle finger.

You could still recoup your cost and some by selling in-hand miners on eBay when you get them since Bitmain is not going to refund.

Sadly right now there is one brand to buy new.  It is much harder then it sounds to go F Bitmain I wont buy from principle.

Until there are other miners out Bitmain kinda owns the market.  And can do what they want. For better or worse.

I'll probably sell them on ebay after I get them.... IF I GET THEM.

It is very easy to say 'F U to Antminer'.. I believe in Karma and believe in Principles and Business ethics. I'll easily pass on these miners as I get them
and either take a break from mining or just keep using my old miners at free or low cost locations.
It's not my income so no big deal.

Was looking forward to upping my mining footprint by a few-fold, but screw them.

What was your order date?

Ordered on Day 1, USD Payment confirmed 09/02

It would seem that mine were just outside the cutoff for the 'first wave' of miners to go out, noting that confirmed payment dates all the way to the 6th are arriving this week.

Also it would appear that they tried their best to send those of us who purchased 'early' the full rate miners, or several of us just got lucky.

Again, the communication is poor, but delivery is what counts.  Who all is still waiting on B1 miners?

I am still waiting on my Sep 6 (order and payment confirmed date) order, nothing shows up on UPS yet. Where did you get this information "noting that confirmed payment dates all the way to the 6th are arriving this week".
