Many people bitched previously, yet those same people came back to buy again.. Tells Bitmain none of the bitching matters..

What's the alternative? If you want to continue mining, of course.

Here is an interesting Question:

What are the improvements of the new firmware for the S7?

-more controlled hash rates?
-less energy usage?
-better virus protection?

Anyone have any answers?

Alternative Question:

If I have a Batch1 do I download 600 or 575?
If your s7 came clocked at 600 use 600, clocked at 575 use 575.
I had just one come clocked at 575, went with 600 anyway and bumped the clock to 600.
Only does 4.7 now instead of the original 4.6 but seems to work ok.
Getting a tiny bit better hashrate with the new 600 October 23 firmware.

I just believe if and/or when 14/16nm chips are available in rigs, they will be quite pricey.
They are taking preorders and have a price for bulk buyers
Quote
“The miners are now available for pre-order at a price of 0.87 BTC with a minimum order of 333 miners which is 1 petahash,” Virgilio Lizardo Jr., Head of International at Bitbank told Bitcoin Magazine in an exclusive interview. “This price will be available until November 11, 2015. This winter, the miners will be available with no minimum order required; the price at this time has not been decided yet.”
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/bw-to-launch-nm-chip-and-miner-for-general-population-1445278227

For whatever reason, I got to thinking about this article saying the following:  “BW will produce the amount needed [in the first batch] to reach our goal of 48P [petahashes] per month at our newest mining farm currently under construction.”

I find that rather hard to believe.  At 3,500 GH/s per rig, that would be 14,000 rigs manufactured each month to achieve 48,000,000 GH/s (48 PH/s).  And then, they want to sell to other people as well... in addition to what they will put in their newest mining farm currently under construction?   Cheesy

I honestly believe that was another typo.  I believe they meant to say 4.8 PH/s instead of 48 PH/s each month.  Also, could you imagine the size of a facility that has 14,000 rigs dumped into it EACH MONTH?  The article sounds completely ridiculous to me or it's just full of a lot of errors.  If it is in fact an error, 4,8 PH/s each month with 1,400 rigs sounds more obtainable than 14,000 rigs while also selling to others outside of BW.

I am disappointed with the lack of respect shown to me in this case.

Really? Bitmain has generally shown a lack of respect to everyone. Why would you expect your experience to be different?

THIS...

Why do I expect respect from bitmaintech?

I guess I just a naive person.

But I did some nice legwork for free on the s-7 because they were good to me on the s-5.

They sent a free s-5 to me for review. So when my s-7's came from batch one I did a free thread to help show how quiet the s-7 can be made.

I also did a fix it thread showing how to fix the under hashing via soft reboot.

This was to be helpful to miners and to bitmaintech.
This was being respectful to both Miners and bitmaintech.

In turn for me respecting them and being honorable to them they have not done the same to me.

Such is life I will check my account and maybe I have a shipment.

No info on shipping oh well.

And from the other 1957 geezer.
You have been very helpful to many folk, myself included.
Yoshi seems to indicate that things are ready to move.
I think we will all be satisfied soon.
I'll be getting mine after you because mine have to go through him first.

Well the gear itself is pretty good . It has simple gui. It allows two or three to a controller.
My machine runs really well. The one I shipped to Europe runs well.
The lee hosts for me in China is running well .

So in general I like the equipment.
There is not a lot else to talk about .

Kind reminder:
When mining with S7, be sure that you've connected the internet properly and the internet is working well, otherwise, the boards may get burnt easily Sad
When you have time, please kindly upgrade your firmware with corresponding version in our website, it can do some help to avoid such issue.

Like the S5? I disconnected the PWM cable on my S5s to prevent any damage. Looks like I'll have to do that on my S7s too...

What!? Was this mentioned on the specs page?

Can you explain why you are shipping B3 before B2?

I would not take this seriously. This message is not from Bitmain.
They would have used proper channels, and not post a poorly written post on a forum, with an unknown username, lol!

Though the info is probably true, he is not connected with Bitmain.

BITMAIN_YHQIN could actually be a bitmain account. I know it could look like a fake account due to the lack of posts - but unfortunately this accurately reflects the rate of customer support on this forum.

My B2 order - still not shipped either  Sad
