There are no manipulations. We have had to provide a blockchain due to slow syncing for some users.
Not accusing anyone, just pointing that a mediafire download of a raw db is not trustable in several ways Smiley (it's vulnerable even to simple network corruption)

The bootstrap.dat is a pre-download of the chain on the other hand, but the client will still validate all the blocks (which is why importing a bootstrap is slow), so it's okay to get one from an untrusted source.

No, no, nothing like that. I agree and is why I always say for users to sync naturally if they can.

I've tried making bootstraps in the past when this first came up, but every time I tried to get it to work, it wouldn't. So I gave up and provided the whole thing.
I'd love to be able to provide just a bootstrap. Smiley

WE ALREADY HAVE 80 VIEWS AT BTCGARDEN!!!!!!!!

And Secco had an old wallet!!!! Another connection!

Edit:

Chainz list of 2.0 nodes:

addnode=107.136.113.252
addnode=108.251.44.118
addnode=137.135.57.119
addnode=167.114.27.242
addnode=174.2.194.186
addnode=182.161.0.5
addnode=182.161.9.244
addnode=207.192.254.156
addnode=5.196.109.69
addnode=50.188.13.41
addnode=69.204.247.90
addnode=75.130.163.51
addnode=88.217.180.107
addnode=92.19.22.234

Chainz list of nodes is on a stuck chain. We are way past that block count, besides they were re-syncing the blockchain last I knew as of yesterday. They were having a slow time syncing, as seen in my twitter convo. I have not heard if they are finished.

Current block: 287897
Chainz's current block: 286784, over 1000 blocks behind.

I suggest using only these nodes:
75.130.163.51:18872
92.19.22.234:18872
50.188.13.41:18872
149.202.102.73:18872

Yes they are on the chainz list, BUT that list is for nodes seen in the last 24 hours and if chainz is resyncing, the data reflected on the website may be off. Addition: these 4 nodes are on the chain that's moving. Only two are active right now.

We need to keep wallets online AND on the same nodes during this phase.

Well I got excited for no reason then.. I was wondering why I had a tough time syncing after adding chainz' nodes. But all is well now! I got a tweet from chainz this morning saying they updated links. Which is nice.

No, they are still having sync issues. They only updated the bct link as you asked them to do. I saw the tweet earlier. Wink

http://www.mediafire.com/download/a9m2jwfs98z7kax/288208.7z

I am getting the following error (Ubuntu 14)

Code:
************************
EXCEPTION: St13runtime_error
CDB() : can't open database file blkindex.dat, error 22
OrangeCoin in AppInit()

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error'
  what():  CDB() : can't open database file blkindex.dat, error 22

I am now trying to connect only to the seed nodes in your conf for a full resynch, but they do not seem to be responding (with a connect= to them, I get zero connections)

whether you have the correct insert addnode? Do not forget to update the orange coin only in http://orangecoin.weebly.com/downloads--source.html

FWIW while resynchronizing the debug log fills up with errors like

Code:
ERROR: CheckProofOfStake() : INFO: read txPrev failed
WARNING: ProcessBlock(): check proof-of-stake failed for block 2d406a7022c601028a3d95ae3361b41b68f56358b62124b4eac07afda44dfc68
received block 1685cd610ee65a589c60

The "2d406a7022..." block is actually valid, but it's block 80999 and the wallet is still synchronizing at height 11000, so it cannot validate it correctly.

So apparently the wallet is asking for/or getting block ranges it cannot check, and thus the synchronization is slow and gets "stuck". Restarting the wallet only helps a bit before it gets stuck again.

Yes. I have found a couple of nodes that work, and set the explorer wallet to "connect" only them (those in then 288k conf do not respond). Height 27k now :/

http://bitcoingarden.tk/forum/index.php?topic=4567.new#new

Another new OP and informative place!

Check it out!

Cheers!

-Raven

I like how the videos show the "preview" imbeded directly to the site.

Alter the line of bbc code "New to crypto or Orangecoin?" that's next to the first video. It should go on top of the video. Smiley

Just so you know: I reserved the second post here in case I wanted to use it for dev fund accounting. Idk yet.

As did I Just incase  Wink As for the video formatting, I like it. I have made a few changes to the code there for spacing and what not.

Check it out Halo now does it look good? Also Secco over at BTCGarden (http://bitcoingarden.tk/) Is an AWESOME MOD took care of everything QUICKLY! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT!

Cheers!

-Raven

EDIT: THEY HAVE A LIVE CHATROOM/Trollbox! AWE MAN! BIG TIMES ARE UPON US!

Layout is good now. I like your "nodes link" you added. I will update the OP to include the node link and link to this new forum. You should link to our OP here also, put it under Orange Services after "http://worldcoinindex.com/coin/Orangecoin Price Index" and label as "Additional Forum". I will do the same in the same spot.

Addition: Take "op access" off our names under "meet the team", please and thank you. Smiley

On it.

Everybody seems to have withdrawn their coins from the sell orders.

Some lucky person could grab a few coins at 866 sats and at 1770 sats.

WE ARE CURRENTLY ONLY 10 BTC AWAY FROM 50,000 SATS!

Can you create an actual bootstrap?  I'm not sure your DB is portable... the previous snapshot wouldn't load in our configuration.

thanks,
