probably not but if it can be as a big as mastercard or in the third spot with the overall global volume, i would be satisfied enough, no need to replace fiat, for saying that bitcoin was successful

No, and we shouldn't want it to be number 1. If it remains an alternative to the fiat currencies it can remain strong, pure, and independent from government. If it becomes number 1 then governments or business will seek to control it for their gain and that will lead to the same manipulation we see with fiat currency today.

I don't think it will ever replace fiat. I think of my grandparents and I don't see them using bitcoin ever. And fiat cash they will continue to use.
I do think it will grow. I consider I believe digital money will grow hopefully a lot, and I could be wrong. But right now BTC is king of the digital money.

For replacing fiat, my answer is "no". But bitcoin can, in my opinion, fully or partly replace Paypal, Western Union, bank wiring, credit cards etc.

Most likely it dosen't need to be number one , beside I don't see how the value of bitcoin will be calculated to USD or Euro or Yen etc if Bitcoin replace fiat It wouldn't make a lot of sense . So we just need to go mainstream and replace the famous payment methods like Paypal , Credit cards , Visa etc ... (Bitcoin is basically best of them for what comes for the speed or fees or anything else)

Bitcoin doesn't need to replace any Fiat currency out there to be successful. Remember that! Governments would probably never even allow this to happen, since government will start the war before it loses a total control over the money. Bitcoin can and will find its own place in the world financial system and will work side a side with the Fiat currencies, while getting a part of the market or few niches market and will serve them well. Even this scenario for Bitcoin would be huge!

fiat is physical so it will stay as number one, bitcoin can only be number 2 I agree. And so many factors that will affect bitcoin as a number one currency. But it'll be better for online payments method like paypal, payza, PM, etc., still having the future for bitcoins.

Replacing fiat is not on the line next to where bitcoin is. In the future it may grow even more and can be used by many more people but as long as not everyone in the world uses this or know what bitcoin is then probably not.

i surely believe bitcoin has a great future, but i am realistic enough to know that it will never replace an existing fiat currency. bitcoin is a great alternative, bitcoin doesn't need to replace anything.

do you believe with bitcoin in the future can replace fiat as a number one currency? Yes, I believe in Bitcoin. We don't even use paper money anymore, almost all transactions are handled by credit cards. I'm sure Bitcoin will replace this high commission system in the future.

do you believe with bitcoin in the future can replace fiat as a number one currency?
the question here is, why people will need fiat if everything could be done with bitcoin? nah seriously, the fight here is with governments and that they will do everything needed if bitcoin becomes more stronger than now, the key is what they will do.

the question here is, why people will need fiat if everything could be done with bitcoin? nah seriously, the fight here is with governments and that they will do everything needed if bitcoin becomes more stronger than now, the key is what they will do. The reason is some people will fear and not want digital money. There are some you just cannot convert into BTC believers. As far as fighting governments I don't see that happening on official currency. Most likely I don't see any countries dumping fiat as official ever. I just don't see it happening.
