everything that could be wrong with cryptsy a.k.a project investors inc. is

after having wallets out of action for a month and still ongoing, people were locked out of accounts, saying wrong password when they had entered correct. do password reset, then you are locked out for minimum day from withdrawals, 'for security', well, guess what, it keeps going, to stop you withdrawing

then when people do manage to submit a withdrawal, there's a 'problem' with btc withdrawals again, just check cryptsy trollbox, it has been same thing for weeks now.
we really need a chatbox trollboc archive klike they have for btce, that way archive their bullshit and problems

add to that support are simply not answering, at all, or on rare occurrence they do, have no answers
no answers here, nothing on tiwtter

then they surprise with having to be verified, kyc all this shit
and guess what, when yo do and gib=ve all the details and try to withdraw a tiny amount, WAY below the amount you ca,, you get a popup saying yiou reached your limit

i believe cryptsy are insolvent or do not have enough coins, this is added to fact they are completely incompetent as proved over years , this is in turn causing a run on coins

bear in mind if this thread was in main altcoin section, it would be even worse.. I think we need a class action, lawsuit if it goes much longer and send the press round to his house like mark karpeles as what is hapening right now is not just incompetence, it is at the very least criminal negligence

contuinue to post your problems and let us know when you get your coins out of hell!

matter of time before cryptsy collapses imho
as you cannot continue treating people like this and expect their custom. once coins are out I will NEVER return, I expect there are hundreds at least who feel same way

I am Bonkers BTW

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I will say, the account I have with only Tier 1 verification (only did verification this week), was successful with all withdraws today (BTC, NXT, VTC and DASH all processed within 30 mins). My account with Tier 2 (verified 1+ year ago), continues to get the error that I have reached my max when I have not withdrawn anything in months and only trying 0.03.

Go figure...

oh well... non verified accounts do not have transfer option...thought maybe that might be solution for some

Where is the transfer option? One of my accounts is... but still don't see how to do transfers...
when you look at balances...under any coin you see options like go to market...deposit...withdraw...manage...under manage is transfer......you use your trade key as a wallet address.

I don't see it. Well, just can see the view transfers in/out but can't create any... they must have stripped that out...

I see the transfer option on my Tier2 account and not Tier1 account.

I'm still tier1, it's 1 week since i've sent all the documents and the stupid proofs they ask for, and i'm afraid even if they upgrade me to tier2 i will not be able to withdraw anyway because of their ridiculous limitations.
What a fucking joke these people deserves to go to jail!

Except that unverified accounts are not supposed to have the transfer option. I don't. You should report yourself to Cryptsy for breaking their system  Grin

For what its worth cryptsy has always been a legit exchange. It's funny because mcxnow, coins-e operators used to slam cryptsy for being a scam. The irony is that these former sites ended up being scams. I'm hoping this is just a bug in their system and the withdrawals will continue.

As far as I'm concerned, Cryptsy is basically self-destructing. I like how I mentioned a withdrawal two days ago in the trollbox and I'm still banned. That's exactly what RealSolid did before the yanked the plug. I'm washing my hands of these clowns.

What other altcoin exchanges do you guys recommend?

bittrex.com
c-cex.com
yobit.net
poloniex.com
bter.com
cryptopia.co.nz

In no particular order although bittrex actually does belong at the top of that list.

The only alt exchange I would trust is btc-e. People always claim, "shady Russians", but I have used them for 3 years now and never an issue.

Not many alts are worth listing so it makes sense. I think they should add a few more, but last time they did it got removed fast.

It's a shame Bittrex doesn't accept gambling related coins. I contacted yobit to get CSC listed there. This platform seems interesting.

I haven't talked to Richie in a month or two, so I don't know if your claim is true, BUT if it is, then you should remove Bittrex from your list. The crypto community doesn't want or need people randomly censoring coins.

Still no upgrade to my tier, no response from support and of course none of my withdrawals has been processed.
And as we approach the weekend, when usually there isn't anybody at craptsy working to allow me or anyone else to withdraw his coins, i think i will have to wait at least until monday.

FUCK YOU CRAPTSY!

Pulling the censorship hammer is a bit too much for this, don't you think?
Regarding this list, I'd better complain about bter being in it, as this is the most shady, untrustworthy exchange on earth. They pull one scam after another, tell users they got hacked to run off with their BTC, come back two weeks later (funny enough everybody seems to forget about being ripped off by them until then) and start over.

Bter is one giant craphole.

Anyone who is disgruntled with Cryptsy should check out Cryptopia, I put 5 BTC in there and pulled it out all at once to stress test them and everything went perfect. Withdraws take less than 60 seconds always

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=DOT_BTC

It's similar to Cryptsy, but also has dozens of mining pools directly integrated to the exchange, and a chat where people give each other free cryptocurrency. Might save a few grey hairs to use Cryptopia instead of Cryptsy.
