I believe that the paper the government has to print them on is getting more and more expensive, so it's getting harder for governments to print currency and manipulate the currency supply. And most people use online banking anyway... So why not? Digital currency/bitcoin will never replace money and people will still use the paper money because The paper currency will never be replaced.
Exactly what people said when coins were the only currency and paper, representative money came along. if paper money disappears, it still won't be for a very long time. It won't happen for a long time, because the government will be able to control fiat currency much easier, so bitcoin won't replace it very soon.

I agree, bitcoin wont be replacing dollar because of the government are controlling it and that is their source of power over other country.

Paper money is ruling the world since its inception and no other currency can replace it in future, people are more comfortable in using fiat rather going for digital stuff. Yeah from its existence paper money is ruling the world. This could continue till the end of the world and the future will continue to use digital currencies as an alternative but would never replace the use of paper money. I think not only as a financing alternative I could see many people like to have something that instant or transaction that is easy and simple more time would be a lot of people who liked with it. I think that digital currency will replace paper money and paper money will be as the alternative course

I believe that the paper the government has to print them on is getting more and more expensive What makes you think that? Google "cost of printing money": $1 and $2: 5.5 cents per note $5: 10.9 cents per note $10: 9.9 cents per note $20 and $50: 10.6 cents per note so it's getting harder for governments to print currency If I could print 471 $50 notes by paying 1 $50 note that seems like a very cheap way of creating more money! and manipulate the currency supply. The FED doesn't need to print money to do this. They just adjust the interest a bit and punch some numbers into a computer.

Digital currency is basically a threat to the old conventional paper money, as the world is heading toward the cashless society then paper money will surely feels its effect.

People who are comfortable with paper money will only use paper money even if bitcoin hits the mainstream as they will find easy way to spend their money, and paper money will take care of it.
These are some people who do not want to accept the change. They cant digest change from paper currency to Digital. If it is possible we have to educate them so that they get to know the benefits of this Bitcoin currency and hence they start using it. I believe change is already happening either we like it or not lol. Money has been evolving in our generation form, like the whole square, apple pay, etc. Its only natural if we see bitcoin becoming the new form. Paper money is not that bad, as you can see now you see that there are a lot of people is still using paper money and that is nice for paper money itself. You see that Bitcoin is of course getting more popular and used but that doesnt mean that paper money will disappear.

The problem with notes is not that they are too expensive as you point out (thanks for the info by the way). Notes are too easy to store out of a bank, especially those of higher denominations. If a bank wants to have negative interest rates, they need all the money in the banks, i.e. not in cash. Thus they sell up the whole cashless society idea, which sounds nice and easy, but not when the interest rates are -5%. Don't worry though, credit cards will still charge 15%+ interest, only banks will have negative interest available to them.

Paper money is much important and won't disappear however the digitalization takes place. Everywhere there will be some people who don't have interest over the digitalization.

Paper money is ruling the world since its inception and no other currency can replace it in future, people are more comfortable in using fiat rather going for digital stuff. but it looks like the changing times will change someone's more comfortable paying for something instantly via cell phone or laptop. not offline and deal face to face with the seller. the human need for more and more if you have a solid course you will need to purchase and pay distress offline. bitcoin will be very useful

Indeed, the bitcoin has a good future because its digital with the paper money this is most likely the opposite it has a bad future because everything is gonna be digital. I think the paper money will soon or later disappear.

I doubt that paper money will disappear anytime soon, there are too many people that would be in opposition of taking paper money out of the economy. There is a good feeling when you have cash in your hand as well, so I wouldn't want to see paper money phased out either.
