Can gambling be profitable in long term ?

It is hard to know because im not really into gambling. However, I have seen many expert gamblers who know what to do to earn money in long term. Therefore, I believe that there are always some ways for us to make money from gambling. FIrst, we need to determine gambling as a job so that we can focus on it and learn more about strategy

There are some people that keep winning in gambling but that doesnt mean they know they secret to win, they just happen to win and that is all. I dont think. Even if they do know that there is a secret to it, do you think that they will just leak it? Unfortunately for me , I just want to believe that it is all only because of pure luck

Gambling is not appropriate  in a long term,what if your not responsible in your finances.It depends on your fortune and lucky for a long term profit in playing gambling.Gambling is not like investing or trading that we have assurance in gambling if it will last longer.

Well if it was profitable going in the prospective of long term goals, then the person is in what they call "gambler's fallacy" scenario there.
If it was, then everybody would be doing it and not needing to go to work.

True, but as gambling is a game of chance then it is also possible for gambler to get profit in long term especially in a game with skills involved such as poker and sports betting. I've seen some succeed sports bettor and poker players, it is a proof that gambling is not only profitable for the casino owner but gambler have the chance to get profit as well. Although it is very rare, but it is not impossible.

I think there is no anyone who want to build a casino if people can make $100 from that. But yeah, I guess there are some people who really that lucky.

Yes i believe in luck but it is not like that is someone who is that blessed to be lucky in his/her life in everyday for the rest of his/her life. And besides, no one can just depend in gambling as their source of income because of the time gamblers ended up with nothing left and worst with a large amount of debts.

But as what I have observed those risk taker will always have a profit but you need a big amount to be a gamble.
Getting profit in gambling 80% depends on your luck the rest is your skills in gambling, so you need to cross the high risk of gambling before you have a profit but for me, it is not easy to go with the flow in my luck mostly I got lose on it.

Winning and making profits in gambling depends on the games you play, you cannot solely play chance games and expect to make consistent profits in the long run. There are skilled  and semi- skilled based games where you are allowed to make some inputs based on your statistical analysis and instincts like sports betting which can be profitable in the long run if you commit to study it well and make informed decisions about your bets.

It's not damaging as long as you know how to control, gambling is risky and we should all know that before taking this journey

Gambling is a game of luck and for making money from gambling it is too much important that you must have good luck, but in some gambling games like in sports gambling one need to have good study about the game and player where he is going to bet, he must know the strong and weeks points of a team which can help him in making money from gambling.

How is gambling a long term profitable there? Winning in gambling is hard, it is risky and will rely mostly on your luck than your skill though there are still a lot of people that are taking gambling as a main source of income.

For me, Gambling is not profitable in long term since you are losing a lot more before you get a good win and the winnings are still spent at gambling making more losses in the long run. Investing and Trading is better than gambling.

I didn't know gamblers had portfolios with all of their history in it? .

As you say though, most people will not be winning in the long term, but in the end I don't think that matters too much.. Gambling is for entertainment as well as excitement. If you lose a long the way (without going overboard on the amounts you lose), no real harm  should be done.

Gamblers do get profits from gambling, sometimes huge amounts of profits but these profits are not for long term use and the reason behind this is nothing else then greed. The greed for more never allows a gambler to quit his gambling even if he has won enough amounts as a profit, he will only think to make more out of it and will continue playing gambling again. Continuing with gambling will put him in loss.

Gambling is not profitable in long term ,you don't have the assurance to  profit in gambling. This is just a past time for gamblers to relax and have space for their relax their selves sometimes. It's not good to relax  the bad thing is when you're addicted in gambling.

I do agree with you. It is hard win the house edge and all you can do is to watch your money flowing into their pocket. It is hard to accept that true.
However, there are still experts in trading who understand risk and manage their strategy to beat the house. Well, they are like superman and I think it is hard to become one of them

And that's the reason we called them game of chances, we do hope for our luck because even we are skillful about the type of the game we played, we are still not guaranteed that it will help us to win along the way, those people who understand when skill are useful are those who can able to control their emotions and can manage well, so even it takes a long time period inside the house they will have a greater chance to win.
