Yup. Not a currency. A religion.

Someone should print out bible-like books containing the entire blockchain.

Bitcoin trinkets now on my online store: btc trinkets.com <- Bitcoin Tiepins, cufflinks, lapel pins, keychains, card holders and challenge coins.

Someone should print out bible-like books containing the entire blockchain.

And with language like "and Deepbit sayeth 'block 31213 is 00000002342312312312', and there was much rejoicing."

With the T-shirt idea, make it say "Back in my day, a block was 50BTC!"

Yup. Not a currency. A religion.

Bitcoin is great and Satoshi is his prophet.

No, Satoshi is the messiah whose return is eagerly awaited.

Sometimes I fancy that Satoshi must have been a visitor from the future, a Prometheus bringing us mere mortals the secret of fire, thus enabling the further progress of civilization.

So Satoshi is now being ripped apart by a huge eagle all day only to be knit together and revived at night?

Oh well, explains why he isn't posting anymore.

Hopefully the celebration isn't ruined by the Great Halving Bug Wink

The Great Halving Bug always tries to ruin the celebration, but gets stomped by the Great Shoe of Reputation.

There will be chocolate-coin-filled bug piñatas for the children and shoe-on-a-sticks to beat them with.

Soon you will be dancing face-to-face / With the limits of ambition and the scars of the marketplace / Welcome to the land of flame and fizz / Where you will learn that packaging is all that heaven is

When block 209999 is found the countdown starts: "600, 600, 600, 600, ... Happy block year!"

What will be the 1st block with 25 BTC reward? 210000 or 209999? The same issue as with a millennium.

Except math and hard-coded rules are clear and easy to read up by anyone.
Actually.. I don't know! heh

I guess you meant block number 210000 or 210001?

Or:
Do we celebrate the last 50 BTC block, or the first 25 BTC block?
Whatever, I stick to the number with the many zeroes. Bitcoiners like zeroes! :-)

No. There was a block #0, so 210001 makes no sense.

Block 0 had 50, but they weren't spendable, correct? So 210000 will have 25 reward.
