monero, because it has that useful feature of anonymity, i don't see the point of using other currency, they do not offer soemthing that bitcoin does not have

and i'm not seeing the long confirmations as a probem right now, because i'm solely using it online at the moment

Yeah I totally agree with you on this aspect... Monero does possess a very good anonymity feature that no other coin can really boast.  I have already hedged a decent portion of my funds into Monero now, since the recent price drop from some whale that dumped tons of XMR for whatever reason.

As for the confirmation times, I just read and researched a bit about this new coin coming out... eMunie.  Seems to be stupid fast with the confirmation times, and has a really good chance of being a major contender way later on down the road.  It still has yet to be released, but during the beta test, it seemed to get a lot of good reviews.

I don't really see an upside on an altcoin that confirm super fast. To be safe you'd need to wait a few hours for many confirmations anyways. Forks on altcoins happen all the time.

Meanwhile a single confirmation on Bitcoin is relatively strong and waiting for 3 isin't much longer.
If you do very small transaction, for something like a coffee, then you don,t even need confirmation for the merchant, since a double spending attack on such a small amount would be self damaging more than anything.

Just take it easy, there might be room for more than one crypto, but they will need to bring something completely apart from what Bitcoin can bring. Beside true anonymity that can be solved in side chains, i really don't see anything.

Coinmarketcap doesn't mean shit really, banxshares with no community and pretty much a scam is listed even higher than doge. those who look at coinmarketcap to decide a coins success rate are plain dumb. doge had its fame but it pretty much done, only left with a bunch of dog lovers, its just litecoin with a different name and logo slapped on top.

Its "cool" but not very profitable. I bought a 4tb HDD for gaming and i checked the profitability, is very bleh. It really does not compare to just buying proper hardware. I'm guessing the coin isint too used since its been around for quite a while and its almost unheard of.

Yeah I don´t realy do it for the profitability... I just want to see where this coin will go because of its concept... also my PC is on 24/7 anyways so it doesnt realy matter if my external HDD jumps on from time to time then goes back to sleep... Wink

If you're leaving your PC on 24/7, then that would be a possibility to earn more Burst. A 3.5 external HDD would be more reliable and faster than a 2.5 laptop HDD. Still, if you're curious about knowing how much Burst you would mine, I suggest you visit this page: http://burstcoin.biz/calculator   Have fun!  Wink

2$ per month for my 300$ HDD. Not a very good investment. Also i didn't check what the proof of capacity actually do, but if it put any use on the HDD, its really not worth the 24$ at current rate over one year.

I have been using for a few weeks trading bitcoins to ethereum.
Especially in poloniex as the volume was enormous.
The volume was over 1 thousand bitcoin, and the trades were really dynamically.

Did you manage to margin trade or something? I haven't had much luck with Eth. I mine it so i'm okay and the profitability is still good but for flipping it, the scene was not very good for me. Maybe someone more experienced could do better, but with the price crashing at the moment, i just feel like dumping what i mine instead of holding like i did for a while.

No i don't use margin trading as i don't understand the fundamentals on how does it work.
I have tried many chances to understand but also people in the trollbox didn't recommended me.

Hah i see. Well i can tell you, its pretty simple, you need volume and spread, a significant difference in buy and sell price. You need a stable-ish value and you basically just buy and sell at the same time, within the margin between buy and sell. That way you might buy a 0.001 and sell at 0.0012 at the same time, getting you 20% profit minus trading fees.

Thats the concept anyways i don't have a recommendation on a coin or a indepth suggestion. I'd guess if you google it you could find someone nice.

Well i don't think that if i use this method for growing my bitcoins work.
There isn't always a profit as you said buy a 0.001 and sell at 0.0012 at the same time.
People who suggested me and also didn't tell me how these things work they say that it is good for me.
So it's better to continue the old traditional trading strategy and not these margin trading.

Never heard about this coin, i just checked the website that you mentioned.
Per Game Win: $0.001 USD, how long does it take to earn 1$ ?
Another cryptocurrency beside bitcoin is DTT(recently) and doge(for a long time now)

Yes it does take away space on your HDD... but since I never use my full 2TB external I just put 1.5TB aside for the proof of capacity and have 500 gigs left for whatever I need to save on the drive as a backup...

To me it´s like: "It doesnt cost computing power and I have a big HDDrive anyways so why not" kinda thing...
